john love to see ya trout fishing. this is the only thing i try fish for here in p.a most stocked. lot of natural trout here never get bigger than 12in/ 1foot. its nice to see a change from bass fishing but please when fishing for trout please wet your hands before catching them. if you dont you are actually burning the trout and they can/most likely will get white scales disease which kills them.

That's awesome man! I grew up in Washington, in the Cascade foothills...I could walk out the front door and Mt. Rainier was right there! I used to go up camping with my mom and my stepdad, fished a lake called "Lonesome Lake"..very clear water you could literally see the bottom.. decent size rainbows and Brook trout in there!! If you see signs for "Black Diamond" or "Maple Valley" you're near where I grew up! Some huge smallmouth and largemouth there too. caught a few myself! love your videos man, keep up the great work!

Jon, I'm calling you out here for your sake. I would highly recommend that you read up on the state regulations before accessing Washington's fisheries. Or fisheries anywhere for that matter. That body of water you fished is enforced with selective rules, under which you cannot use bait, scent, etc. So, you were fishing illegally. Now it's on your resume. The reason, of course, is using bait leads to an exorbitant amount of deep-hooked fish versus other methods... like you very well demonstrated, along with poor fish handling that likely resulted in the death of those "released" fish. The fact that this is lake with stocked fish (unnatural) and not a fragile mountain stream, for example, is irrelevant. People, it's not hard. Take five minutes and educate yourselves before you hit the water. It makes me sick to see shit like this, cause these same types of people are out there raping salmon, steelhead, and other species as well. WA fisheries are in enough trouble as it is.

Hey Jon, Just a heads up, in washington, or at least most of it trout limits in lakes are five fish, i noticed you were using worms, when using bait every fish counts towards your limit catch and release included, so after five u have to be done, a way around it it to use small spinners or spoons, and im not sure if thats all lakes but im sure it is most! A good smallie lake is lake Tapps, or Taps... spelled something like that lol small jerkbaits and white crappie jigs!! I would suggest Alder but its really low, Anyways, Good LUCK! If u guys ever come out west again Hit Me up man dying to meet ya
