Thanks Lyle! It seems like almost every fish was going to used as a meal or bait! The few that were thrown back usually got snatched by the pelicans 😮😮

I don't know the how people are there now but, when I was growing up in FL., when people went fishing it was for food and not for sport.
@CatchingFins3 жыл бұрын
It definitely was mainly for food. What wasn’t good eating became bait.

@@CatchingFins I can remember snorkeling for scallops, and spear gun fishing. I think spear guns may not be legal now in the bays and such but not sure. Also back then if you were on or in the water you didn't need a license for salt water. Only if you were bank or pier fishing you were required to have one.

Are you allowed to use trihook lures on Naples piers?? I heard u can only use single hook lures. Not sure if this is one pier rule out there or not??
@CatchingFins2 жыл бұрын
If I recall it’s only 1 hook allowed, no treble hooks. I do think that’s a pier policy

Do you remember what’s the location of the pier? I looked one up and it looks abandoned
@CatchingFins4 ай бұрын
It’s the historical Naples Pier. Last I heard there was some damage from a hurricane a while back so maybe it’s closed for repairs? It had been there for like a hundred years or so I think.
@forthegoodlife23 жыл бұрын
Cool!! What weight line do you use there? Do you have to have a Florida license to fish off the pier?
@CatchingFins3 жыл бұрын
No license needed off the pier which was cool. I brought a reel from home that had either 12 or 15lb braid on it. Not the best choice there but used it anyway
