Fishing on the doorstep | Almost

A quick trip out to use the last of the worms I had, rather than throwing them away.
Technically just down the road from me, but a round trip of around 5 miles to get there as it is over the other side of the River Blyth.
A nice little relaxing session.

It really doesn’t matter whether you catch or not, watching you fishing is almost as good as being there myself. Keep them coming good, bad or indifferent I will watch them all. Stay safe and be lucky.

Just keep it real Danielle. What content you get is down to nature and we all know how bloody frustrating it can be. Unless your wanting to do this full-time just bring the content out when you think people will enjoy it. Very fishy looking location Danielle 😊 ( shame nobody told the fish 😢) Had a family day Sunday, daughter, me , youngest granddaughter, oldest had 2 work , fished ocean side of marina daughter fished 4 leather jackets great eating fish😊 ,using 6 pound hand line , size 3 long shank hook ,same as me ,granddaughter fished 4 herring using green soft plastics lures. Took home 9 leather jackets , 14 herring. Happy catching from Australia Nick 🇦🇺

We all blank time after time and you are right if you get fish it’s a bonus just keep at what you enjoy 👍 if you let your frozen blacks defrost put them in news paper and salt them it drys them out but fine to use again 👌

I went out yesterday evening to Collywell Bay. Seas were dead calm, and none of the anglers there had touched anything. I went back this morning with the sea running and pulled 3 fish out, biggest nudging 4 pounds. It seems to be feast of famine. If you aren't where the fish are, it's hard work for no reward.

I don't mind watching a blank Hinny, I get a lot myself . I think these trawlers have desimated fish stocks in Britain . Shame we carnt have a 2 year closed season before its too late 😢 .

Thanks Mick Yeh from conversations with long time anglers, I can tell that it just isn’t what it used to be. And you are right, just a short term ban would completely change the situation, fish would be able to replenish themselves benefiting us, and most importantly, the wildlife that rely on them for food etc
