Those rods u are using look very unforgiving, ie a little heavy not enough through action which 4 me defeats the purpose! U are dragging them in , instead of enjoying any real connectivity with your quarry whether it’s a barbel or a 12 oz Roach .

Thing is we have big carp and catfish to and if I hook one I want to land it there are big river carp to 40lbs here and you need a powerful rod to get them in so that’s why I am using those rods
