Some of the best days I’ve ever had was wind blowing so hard my trolling motor was coming out of the water. I was glad to hear that the fish don’t necessarily face towards the wind. I have always heard that..good luck today...!!!

This was one of your best videos. Fighting the windy you never can even feel your bait unless you are overworking it. Thanks Randy. Good luck today

Good luck today!! With spot lock and drift socks there is no need to fish into the wind. I have been a drifter since the late 80s.

Great info Randy! I’m one of those that thought a 20mph wind definitely positioned bass facing into it on the affected structure. You and Jonny could probably do an entire live stream on “winds affect on bass”. Thanks for this one. I’ll definitely consider this on the next windy day on the water.

Completely agree. Oh yea I'd be interested in hearing a dedicated episode on windy fishing. Have they done one yet stream or podcast?

Good luck today! Hope there are some big mommas out there with your name on them! Great video, I have been bass fishing for over 50 years and when possible always fished shoreline structure into the wind. I have come to trust your advice Randy, and much more often than not it has paid off. Thanks!

So when the wind is blowing and you're on a lake you're not familiar with, is the wind blown side generally the better side to start on?

I was at a seminar that’s That’s a great Roland Martin was is informing us.And one of the comments that’s always stuck in my head was you never want to hit a fish in his tail . The way he Explained it is you never want to cast with the wind you shouldn’t be afraid of the wind Great video though the difference of opinions always make you think

I always fished into the wind, I thought it was easier to control the boat. I will have to try with the wind.

I don’t like the way you have to go so much heavier in strong wind. I’ve had almost lift a small jig or shakeyhead right out of the water.
