Fishing Overnight on a Desereted Virginian Island

Tj3 & I go hit up the Eastern shore & hit ! What a night, thanks to my grandpa for taking me here when I was a kid. We were using cut mullet but we ran out of bait. All in all we got 4 overslot drum, 5 sharks (didn't film the small ones), & a southern ray that eve/night. Closer to the end we were really fighting alot of sea grass which was definitely a factor. We kayaked in on an Ocean Kayak Prowler 13 & a Wilderness system RIDE (old school) out to the islands under our own power & back. I was using an Offshore Angler heavy action 12' surf rod with a Penn Squall 2 115 rh spooled with 20 pound big game Trilene mono & 40#. topshot flouro. We were also using a Penn 309 level win spooled with 20 lb Trilene big game mono top shot 40# flouro with a Penn Slammer Stick Heavy action 7ft which is more of a boat rod setup, but it still caught us fish. The fish we caught we released & they swam off strong. It was a gift to come enjoy the awesome fishing that night. thanks for watching. There's so much to explore on Virginias Eastern Shore !
