I just had to try this rod+reel combo the first time I laid my eyes on it. The Zebco Hawg Seeker with the Bite Alert System. It was really neat. I take it out for a spin and here are the results!

I use a smart pole you buy at Wal-Mart with the same reel the alarm is a lot louder.you have to pull on the line or the end of the pole to make the light on the reel.it works great.

Mine works great , caught a nice bull red, adjust it a little bit,but it’s a great combo, the bite alarm is a nice bonus

Had no idea that was on there lol. Just bought it today and was looking at reviews on it. This the first video and thanks to this video i see that alarm lol. Which I personally do not care about that feature. Just want it to perform nicely so i can catch some good serious fat fish.

I add a 30" extension lead between my leader and weight to raise the bait off the bottom ... it helps keep the crabs from the bait.

I've caught 7 inch on up catfish biggest so far is a 3lb flathead catfish I've only had it a few days once you read the instructions and use it a couple times the alarms and alerts built on the smart pole and the zebco spinning reel work in conjunction with all the bells and whistles going off every time is halarious.the illinilight taped to the tip also helps.I haven't tried it in the ocean yet.

You made it look so complicated lmao it's so simple and works amazing if you got a little common sense.

Hi… just wanted to ask you how the rod itself is holding up for you. Just wondering about the rod itself. Thanks.

I was fishing earlier this evening and my lure picked up some fish in line. I thought I got a hit. But I reeled my line in and pulled the line I snagged in and there was a dead 3lb bass on it. Lol. So I pull the rest of the line in and it was one of these fishing poles.lol um going to clean it up and try it out.

I tape a green illumination light to the tip the kind you buy for glow in the dark bobbers or bells in the fishing department in Wal-Mart.

I literally have never seen anyone use anti reverse in 35 years of fishing. It’s the equivalent of putting cassette decks in cars up until recently

When you set the drag loose and the light don't go off that when the smart pole comes into play.

What triggers the bite alert the drag vibration what?
@CityGoneWild2 жыл бұрын
From what i can tell, the travel of the bail and the pressure in which is pulls. The bail has a slight travel until it stops.

Your way wrong bro , one you have to adjust the sensitivity according to your weight and current , mine works everytime , when targeting bigger fish done run loose drag run the drag so when you pull on the line the line feeds out without the rod coming off the ground ,keep sensitivity set about 1/4 from highest sensitivity. Also take the current into consideration when setting the sensitivity water does tug on the line a bit

This reel is pretty and expensive, but it's impossible to use

It's a piece of shit. I had to replace it with a reel that cost half as much so I could actually fish.

sounds like you dont know what to fish for? Its a "Big game rod" meaning not for bass or perch more for sturgeon, pikes, catfish
