I've only fished for steelhead on two rivers, with about 400 other guys just about elbow to elbow. To hook a big steelhead on small secluded water is a DREAM of mine!

Great video! The nice part of winter steelhead fishing (especially on the colder days) is that there are less anglers on the river's and creek's and getting out during a weekday cuts down on competition as well. The fish can be pretty lethargic though.

That first spot you were at my wife and I slammed some coho there last fall. Also seen a bear, a fisher not the human kind lol, and also several mink. Nice and secluded spot lot of animals and fish. Them are some nice steelhead might have to make the trip up soon

I been hitting up the Rifle river I did good I got a nice Steelhead and 5 brownies. I let the 3 of browns go. That was a mouth ago. I need to go back.

Yep as soon as turns brown or Stain color for the water the fish don't see you and you be good ob spinning gear.
