Thanks Rodney, always enjoy your fishing adventures. Just stumbled across a 3 pack of Berkley Powerbait 3in. Pogy swim baits. Anxious to give em' a try in the surf. Large exposed hook, probably not good for grassy, rocky snaggy areas but in surf might work well if not too much salad...(I hope these will wipe the skunk off??)

Huh?? What's with the 'Thumbs Down"??? Whats wrong with these people Have you ever tried the small canal/river alongside Liberty Station/Navy Base?? Stopped by one night, walked the length of the trail on the base side, think it might have possibilities.

Fla. is unreal when it comes to fishing vs Ca. Last time there on St. John River, outgoing tide 3 of us caught more than 40 Mangrove Snappers in 2 hours!!. Not advised to let yer' kids or dogs play in the canals n' ponds or they become 'gator' bait. Driving back from convenience store run, witnessed a fella' fighting off a 6/7 ft. gator in his front yard!! Bro inlaw's dog dug a hole in next door vacant lot, hit water table at about 16-18 inches!!! Strange place...

Hey rodney, been a long time viewer, i used to watch your videos back in my freshman year of college and im now 24. Recently got back into fishing and mostly been going to bataquitos lagoon. Ive caughten countless spotties, a few calicos, some sargo, a bat ray, and a weird fish called a rock wrasse. Im still trying to catch my first halibut. Are there any spots in the lagoon youd recommend to cast out from? Much love man
@RodneyMarquezFishingChannel5 жыл бұрын
Hey Joe! Send me a instagram message I ll send you exactly the spots I like fishing and casting towards.

I figured you must have been in Florida. :) Finally got confirmation on your pinned comment. That is one of my bucket list fish. I hope we get to see a video with you fighting one. Any reason why they don't relocated those fish? That is obviously not their natural habitat.

Thanks for sharing, I hope I can take one of those one day. There is any lake on CA that holds that beauties?

That was cool. Now get a little kid to reel one in or your wife. Will you guys be moving them to let them grow? cause they look like they are not getting the food they need unless fed by hand

Yea , this type of fishing will be ideal for fishing with the kids and wife
