@KerryFlowers7 жыл бұрын
Yep that first one was a nice one, I was hoping for more of them out on the banks but even the smaller models put up a good fight on the west coast....Cheers!

Brilliant trip. I live in the south of England, Isle of Wight to be exact, and I’m hoping to get out to a bank in my pedal yak about 2 miles off. I was questioning myself maybe I was pushing it a bit going out 2 miles, but watching you had inspired me. That was some distance off shore. Hats off buddy. Great fishing. Subbed
@KerryFlowers6 жыл бұрын
Isle of Wight Bushcraft cheers for the sub! When it comes to going off shore I think that you need to work up to doing big distances like I do, it took me years before I felt that I could do the distances that I do now days, there is a lot to consider like getting the right conditions, taking enough food and water and overall body fitness. You also have to be mentally for enough to tough it out when the going gets tough but the rewards are worth it....Cheers!!!

Kerry , enjoyable video , what sort of leader are you using on the falling jig , it looks very heavy is that a wind on double or just heavy heavy line class ? I have very little experience with jigging and am interested in the method
@KerryFlowers7 жыл бұрын
Jamie D it's 140lb mono leader 4 meters long and connected to the braid with an fg knot....
@Fluid365 жыл бұрын
@@KerryFlowers I also like mono over fluro these days, gives you that extra stretch for and shocks and knots hold better.
@KerryFlowers5 жыл бұрын
@@Fluid36 Yeah I really feel that in the larger diameters mono is a more suitable product...Cheers!!!
@Fluid365 жыл бұрын
@@KerryFlowers Yeah agreed, and even when chasing big flathead on hardbodies I use mono over fluro (only in 12lb) because I've lost too many fish by not having that shock absorption.
