Hey Ricardo, so you usually drill to the side not up in that case and just a little tip try to0 have your pointer finger on the front of the of the bc where the wormshaft is at but please also wet your hand and use your hands not the cloth i know it is disgusting sometimes but you are hurting the fishs slimeskin ^^, stilll a nice video tho :)

Thanks for the tips, I will get rid of the cloth now but I only used the cloth because I was giving the fish CTE dropping them because they are extra slippery in the winter. As holding the reel, I have been holding spinning combos for 30 years now, old habits die hard :D

Hmm, why does the reel wobble like that in the reel seat? I have never seen such an aggressive wobble 😅

I think is because I speed up the video to trim the pauses on the audio and it looks like it, the reel seat works fine.

​​@@yep.fishing 😂 I just jumped out of the bed and put the reel on the rod, since I had the drag very tight on the video, so the torque was bending the reel body. I tried now and it really wobbles, not as much as the video suggest because the cork grip and the "fat" in the hand allow also for some movement. It's not a problem from the rod. Addressing also the line touching the blank, next week I'm dropping the video of the Purelure Silverfeather and with the drag set properly this rod is a joy!

How come you grab the fish with a towel and not your hand?

I have a hard time holding them to take the hooks out and sometimes they hook themselves more or smash themselves on the rocks they are also a lot hardy than trout and the mucos they have on them is way thicker. I tried gripper but they seem to do more harm than good. But with your and other comments in mind I will start to hand held the fish. Thank your for the feedback!

By using a dry cloth to handle the fish, you have stripped all the protective slime from it and probably condemned it to a painful death from water borne diseases. you should NEVER handle fish with dry hands, let alone a dry cloth. You are not worthy of the name "angler".

@@fashopimpin I wasn't being rude, just stating facts!...No true angler would ever use a cloth or dry hands to handle fish. He has been fishing for 30 years by his own admission! (read his reply to @theo.7970 just below)...It's about time somebody told him!
