This is my kinda fishing! Love the boat! Snook are awsome! Went to Everglades beginning of June for the first time ever with my wife and son. Love the glades so much. Also fought an enormous lady fish…un usually large. Sick trip. Love this video

I enjoy your narration and IMO you edit very well. A thought I have is twice you mentioned sketchiness of being alone in the 'Glades yet no PFD. Wouldn't you feel more somewhat more comfortable wearing one?
@christian_masterson5 ай бұрын
Probably not. I’m not too worried about drowning. More so mechanical/engine troubles. Also, thank you for the comment!
@Snookchaser0075 ай бұрын
The vast majority of the water there he was actively fishing was less than 5’ deep easy to stand up. When running the boat at high speed a beast is advised as hitting an oyster bar or sand bar just under the surface especially when overcast is definitely a possibility. I know this and still don’t wear one though I do wear my hero cord ( kill switch)
@Snookchaser0075 ай бұрын
Wow should have worn my glasses while typing but you get the point

@@Snookchaser007 I agree. I also wear the kill switch religiously. Thanks for the comment!

God I miss the Everglades! Moved to Ocala 6 months ago, now I have to learn a new area all over again~ Its all good, but nothing the ENP
@christian_masterson5 ай бұрын
No doubt man. I still consider myself new to the Everglades and I’ve been fishing it for 3 years or so. So much water to learn and not enough time to do it. No place like it

hey man, ive been fishing out of chokoloskee for around 13 years. I run a 21 egret. if you ever want to fish let me know
@christian_masterson5 ай бұрын
Sounds good man. I’ve seen a mocassin on a lift near the ramp. Is that one yours by chance?
@shaneellis69555 ай бұрын
@@christian_masterson no, but i know the guy that owns it as well as the lot in outdoor resorts
@christian_masterson5 ай бұрын
Gotcha. How do you like the 21 mocassin? As of right now I think that’s my dream boat. Floats as shallow as the 18 supposedly and I’m sure has a bit more room and chop capabilities
@shaneellis69555 ай бұрын
@christian_masterson I learned how to fish the everglades on an 18 just like yours. Your boat has more storage by far. But you are right, in rough water it's a better ride and floats shallower than your boat

Dang just did a solo trip out there, I wonder if I should have been more concerned safety wise haha. I was def putting my hand in water and even considering swimming. I guess I won't swim now but hmmm... Also, you ever worried about lightning from storms? That was a big concern for me
