It’s a special place up there mate.. I was lucky enough to grow up on a large coastal cattle station halfway between Bowen and Proserpine.. You’re spot on with the fish on the rubble.. I believe there is a bio-mass of fish which move around the rubble where I fish off Dingo.. There are three main rubble areas and I just sound between the 3 points until I find the school. Mainly large mouth nannygai,reds and trout

14hrs drives and 2.5hrs on boat. $1000 petrol and baits and ice. just to go fishing. mate in nz we are 5 mins to the best fishing spots. wow we are damn lucky us kiwi.

What do you normally get through in fuel usually on these trips? What is your fuel burn? How many years have you been running the Grady and are you happy with it? Just looking at Boats now to get back into it Cheers Garry

Hey Garry, my boat is quite heavy so not the most fuel economical. I usually get .80 km for 1Litre. My average trips to reef I burn around 300 - 400 litres.

@@johnnychowjc without being rude, I’m surprised you haven’t ever thought what it would be like trying to see other boats or their nav lights when there’s a massive spotlight shining in everyone else’s eyes except for your own. Whenever I see boats with light bars on, I chase them down and flash a spotlight at them till they turn it off. At least you are aware of it now and would be good if you told your fanbase about how dangerous it is for other boat users.
