That marine biologist is off their head because the aims data shows that the past 2-3 years have seen some of the best coral and lack of bleaching ever. If you don’t believe me, check out the aims data, it’s all there. Inshore and offshore reefs are absolutely thriving.

Yeah I believe the reef is in pretty good shape at the moment. Hopefully the Al Nino weather patterns don’t cause too much havoc on the reef and the experts have got it wrong. Would be very sad to see such an amazing reef system disappear.

Funny you say what that lady said about coral bleaching i was there 20 years and they said the same thing 😂 in fact they say the reef has never been in better health depending depending

Yeah the shape of the reef is in great shape at the moment and I get to witness this first hand every month. Hopefully the Al Nino season doesn’t hit the reef too hard this year! 👌

I personally love catching fish on rod and reel. I don't really like spear fishing as in i wouldn't do it (not here in vic). I do love the underwater footage while you are spear fishing though. I think you have a nice mix of footage and just do what you enjoy. Another nice blue maori cod are they good eating? I all ways wondered why you don't try catch the shark for a bit of fun. If the shark gets sharked does that count as a win? 😂

Hey Johnny, love your videos! Not repetetive at all We do a lot of spearing off Mackay. When you dive and don't have someone in the boat, are you just using the minn kota to hold the boat or are you anchoring as well?

Thank Neil, glad you don’t find it too boring and repetitive. It’s very subjective as you know. We don’t throw a physical anchor out. We just rely on the spot lock feature of the minn kota. Bit dangerous I know. If it were to drift away and we weren’t able to get back to the boat.
