I have better luck with the mice baits on flooded waters. Water rises and fills their burrows and forces them into the water. But when water is low and they are hungry bass will hit them hard!! Great work Stache!!!

Lately I've been listening to the way the gears whine on spinning reels when I'm cranking hard. I noticed in this video that the whine of reel is quite loud on Josh's reels too, with the reel held right next to his chest camera. I've been thinking about trying to find one of the old classic Mitchell 300 reels (it was the best selling fishing reel ever made.) I see there are quite a few on eBay. I'm wondering how an old relic might compare to the modern reels. I guess I'll get one and see. Anyway, thanks for the video Josh!

Man, I ain't been to a pond like that in years, decades actually, man, I used to have several farm ponds i could go to that were full of largejaws and just have a blast, i usually used a quarter ounce yellow roostertail or a 6-8 inch purple plastic worm or on cloudy days like you had there I'd use a black buzzbait, any of those would slay the bass in those ponds, some better than others too. Damn, I miss it!!! Hell I miss fishing period....
