I have seen, I think, the majority of you tenkara fishing videos, and I have learned a lot. I've enjoyed every single minute of them all. Absolutely fabulous job. Keep em coming 😊

Wow! A video where Tristan was not trying out a new rod. Seriously, that looks like a good creek to learn how to tenkara fish. Lots of room for backcasts and obvious places for the fish to hang out

I stumbled on to your channel very recently. A tenkara is now on the way to my home! My wife won’t even know it’s there among my 50 other rods. 😊

I remember fishing a creek that looked very similar to this in western Wyoming on a low water year, no fish for miles even though our research said there should be some. That night stumbled upon a ton in a series of beaver ponds. Felt like every fish in that stream had congregated in one spot. Love the videos.

Definitely a classic western trout stream. And I imagine the trout could be rather spookable...

I received my grandfathers fishing stuff, including a bunch of fly fishing gear. I want to try fly fishing at some point in his honor, though he had passed away before I was born.

You should definitely give it a shot! It's kind of hard to learn at first, but it is so much fun! I don't think that I can ever go back to spin fishing. Fooling fish with flies is just so much fun.

Love all your video's on both channels, I was over in that areas last August, had the same issues, hit many creeks that seemingly were no fish to be found or seen, so so strange, then I stumbled upon some productive ones. Great catches! Happy New Year Tristen!

Another great video. Happy New Year. Those "no sink" caddis are great. I use them as well. A little tip. If you see it start to sink, just grab the fly and give the foam part a squeeze. What happening is, I think, the foam gets water logged causing the fly to sink. Just a little squeeze of the foam will pull most of that water out. Works for me.

Great video Tristan; very entertaining. A classic western trout stream, and the deer and elk hunter in me had me ooohing and aaahing over that backdrop of mountains and clear cuts. Beautiful country. I know you were wanting cutthroats, but man, to me those big brookies are as pretty as a fish can get. The second one you caught and the last one were just drop dead gorgeous brook trout. I would say your last 1 1/2 hours easily made up for your poor start. 👍

Your videos are always so enjoyable - many thanks for all your offerings in 2023. And you’ve gotten 2024 off to a great start! Was really hoping to see a native cutthroat, but my hunch is the brook trout have forced them way up into the headwaters.

Yeah, I came to the same conclusion. I'll have to go back and head far upstream next time.

Happy New Year to you and your family Tristan! Great start to the new year. Although we weren't there for the days earlier efforts, you finished it out nicely! Hooking up is always the goal and a slow or skunked day used to bum me out. But the country and solitude always come through now. On slow days do you ever wander a bit? Kind of follow whatever interests you in the moment? Elevation with views, geology, plant life etc..?

Another great video Tristan. Glad your perseverance finally paid off. Beautiful creek. One thing I noticed - you seem to do a heck of a lot more false casting than seen in earlier adventurous. Was that just a function of the rod? Length of line? Lack of obstructions? Just curious.

I needed a fishin video today . Its been raining off and on for awhile here . Places I fish are just too muddy ( guess I should invest in some rubber boots ) plus its been kinda chilly . Used to love winter , being on blood thinners changed that . Anyway , looking forward to the New Year , and new adventures for you AND me ! Excellent video as always 😎👍👍

I dislike catch-and-release, in general. If I have to go fishing, it's because I need the food being caught. Are you able to keep any of the fish that you catch in these videos? I know you don't eat fish, so this isn't an issue for you, but I am still curious. I presume it's different for every state?

Красивый ручей, эстетичная рыбалка. Есть вопрос: можно ли использовать силиконовые приманки в виде рачков и как сделать чтобы они не с падали при забросе?
@TenkaraAddict10 ай бұрын
If you had very, very small ones, then that should work. Most silicone baits are too big for most trout, I think. Thanks for watching.
