You should check out Ginnie Springs and the natural aquifers,, (cold natural springs). .. People tube on rivers there... Don't go on a weekend or Holiday.. lol.. We just came back from a moto camping trip there..

Right where you are fishing is where I fish. I catch reds, black drum and sheep heads there. We use blue crab for the drums and fiddlers crabs on a brim buster for sheep heads...
