Finally we've got ice! Happened so quick this year. Even down south we have some limited ice right now and it's making ice as we speak!

I live in central Wisconsin and we hardly got any ice here yet. Im hoping to get up north this weekend and hunt for a lake to catch some slabs.

Best of luck, and have fun! Be safe out there, alot of lakes up north have been hit with wind and snow, so the ice is not great in a lot of areas. Try to find anything you can that has mostly black ice and very little snow cover if possible! But hey, we’re back baby! 😃

Yeah some of the lakes in the central area actually have more ice, and safer ice than up north, because they did not get hit with lake effect snow. Winds also played a major factor into how a lot of lakes froze, or did not freeze!

@ yeah all 3 lakes I checked yesterday had 3-4 inches went out today had a solid 4 was like 6 other people out too

I just checked the 3 lakes i normally fish on yesterday and all three had no ice yet besides one was getting ice on the east shoreline

Great video but why do you guys when using your livescope fish in the same hole as the transducer?

When you’re on only two inches of ice it’s more dangerous to chisel multiple holes close together, you’re more likely to fall in. Also the more you chisel the more you spook the fish, the less noise the better. Later on in the year we often use two holes. Just not yet! ❄️

Not sure, they work great for us! They have two different series that they offer for each different model of rod. Lots of other content creators with large channels on KZbin also hammer giants using these rods of all species!
