Love the videos man. I moved from CA to SC 2 years ago. If you ever pulled this stunt in CA and fished this close to a barge or cargo ship. A pilot boat, boat patrol, coast guard whoever would be all over you with a ticket. We had to be minimal like 1K feet away from any tanker like this in CA. Super frowned upon to fish near it. But glad you can get away with this stuff in your state. Keep on fishing man.

I love watching your videos. We fish offshore once a year in Panama city beach in June for the Red snapper season. There are about 20 of us that go. This time on the 14th of june our good friend had a heart attack on the Kelly Girl and he didn't make it. Let's pray for him and his family. Interesting. I never run a swivel with my knocker rigs. I do run at least a glass bead between the weight and hook. Gives some sound, color, and protects the knot. I will usually put another on top and that one helps protect my uni-unit knot, along with the color and sound.

For sure!!! I like running glass beads too! I like the swivel in this scenario to help with line twists on the spinning reel, There was at least a 4kt current running and the swivel helps a lot!
