Nice one Gaz. Them macky feathers you buy in the shops are not ment for hard casting from the shore...
@lifeofgazfishing18734 жыл бұрын

Does anyone have any tips for catching mackerel from the shore ive only ever caught them from a boat
@Masterfisherman4 жыл бұрын
It is all depend on where you fish for them. All you need is long enough rod to cast the mackerel feathers and 3-4000 size reel and nice clear water with some depth, off the rocks, piers even beaches full of them this year. But it can be hit and miss with mackerel fishing at time, they tend to come in with a shoal, 1 min u catch lots next min nothing. Keep at it and you will get them tight lines Ps: great video by the way gaz 👌 good to see you on different marks for a change mate 👍
@lifeofgazfishing18734 жыл бұрын
Thanks man 👍 and masterfisherman is spot on for the mackerel tips tight lines 🎣🎣

Cheers mate i live near Arnside in Cumbria but I keep thinking about a trip up to whitehaven usually go to blackpool or Morecambe and never see mackerel coming out really 😂
@Masterfisherman4 жыл бұрын
@@LFCsimonG mate you won't get mackerel in morecambe or Blackpool, u need clear water for mackerel or at least bait fish close by to bring them in, water is too murky around that area. Get down to North Wales and you ll fill your bucket 😀👍
@lifeofgazfishing18734 жыл бұрын
@@LFCsimonG yeah they are there but the water is to muddy and being a sight hunting fish you need the clear water some were coulght off blackpool last week or so but the conditions have to be just right or they will just stay out further than you can cast
