@thataustralian40783 жыл бұрын

@Andy-Gibb3 жыл бұрын
@@thataustralian4078 the NZ government has brought in laws that says if you find a dead kiwi bird you are not allowed to touch it and have to contact nature conservation and inform them so they can come and get it. That is to stop people taking them and getting a necropsy to determine if they died from 10/80 poison. I have seen 3 dead Kiwi birds in an area where they had thrown 10/80 a few weeks before. When i asked nature conservation why they died I was told that they died from a virus. What a load of crap. They died from 10/80.

The fishing here on the big island of Hawaii was like this and even better sometimes back in the 70's, 80's and most of the 90's but now catching good fish is extremely difficult. Lucky to catch one fish over 5 pounds in 24 hours. Mostly Ulua "GT", Papio, Omilu and O'io/bone fish. The Chinese fishing fleets wiped out our Ahi and a lot of our swordfish too.... Sink all those cockroachs of the sea!! REALLY miss the good old days.

a good pan cooking method for most, well maybe all white flesh fish is 1/ get a good quality stainless steel pan with a copper or aluminium base. place on a high flame and add a cooking olive oil or any good cooking oil and wait till almost smoking: almost only. then in with the fish, EITHER floured or not but skin side DOWN if still with the skin on. tbh i think it is criminal to remove the skin as when it crisps up its a real delight, but maybe thats just me. cook on that side for a few mins, until you see along the side of the fish the Flesh turn white till almost 1/2 way of the thickness of the piece of fish, but also wait till the piece of fish is not sticking, then flip and cook till the side colour changes to all white then heat OFF. leave for a few mins to settle theN add adob of butter or a little salad olive oil preferably to a cooking OO. also a good squirt of lemon and ALWAYS s-n-p. you should be able to just fork of chunks and into the gobbo........ oh also some chopped spring onion is a good add for taste.
