I caught 65 lb. Flat on a trotline, got him in the boat and noticed the hook was swallowed so I cut the line, finished running my lines weighed all my catch in all 212 lbs. The next morning I guted the flathead it had a 9 lb. Blue cat the blue cat swallowed the hook and the flat ate him head first. That was 25 yrs ago, great video

How have you faired with all the flooding in the Area? I live outside of Sioux Falls between Splitrock and Big sioux, right by the speedway, and the flooding up here is crazy. went through Sioux City yesterday around 6pm just before closing down I-29, and where the big Sioux Meets the Missouri it was a huge Lake essentially all around.

I really appriciate all the time effort and energy you put in to film, edit, post these videos. So great to have a local guy rubbing it in my face that I have excellent flat head and blue fishing out my back yard and haven't made the effort much in the past couple years. My son really loves fishing, we went down to Lake Sugema in Iowa for this last week and just caught a lot of little bass and crapie but... I didn't bring any of my heavier gear, and it kind of needs revamped a bit. You are the one content creator I actually would go and buy some stuff, glad you gave us a few websites and promo codes. Now that we got 10" of rain in 2 days up here, not sure what to think... How do you think that will effect the fishing long term? I know it gets the Carp all out in the shallows and Trapped, but I kind of think the reason the flathead live so long is they try to stay in the main body of water. Curious on your thoughts with all the flooding.

All the rivers are blown out right now here in the mountains, so it's time for me to chase channel rats in the reservoirs, no flatties out here unfortunately. I did have a strange occurrence with a tiny channel rat the other week, had a big pike strike at it twice while bringing it into shore, was honestly the first time i've ever seen that. Could have had me both catfish and pike nuggets in one go lol.
