You have to use the whole crab to catch the big ones in NC....I threw a whole crab one time just messing around and joking about it and a giant red took it....been using that ever since....the little fish will not mess with your whole crab so when you get hit it's always a beast.....Thanks for the video.

Ah! This time i already had my dinner done! The fish you caught at 7:22 is called "Xarroco" (or Charroco) here in Portugal, we have lots (and some get really big) in Tejo and Sado river! They sort of croak, kinda funny :)

Love the videos man, I've learned so much from you. Just got my first boat! Hooked up on a drum about 35-45" on topsail island inlet earlier this week, there was a school running mullet up the channel and I had cast netted me about 2 dozen of those little snacks from the surf....I seen them swimming by and my popping cork dove...soon as I set the hook and got my drag set she cut me off! 30lb leader! I almost cried. I spent 2 hours netting mullets just to get that bite. Then we got ran off by hurricane Ian. 2nd massive drum I've lost on topsail 👎

I went and tried for the Reds. I cought 3. Didn't have a duller so I let them all go. I caught them with a little spinner lure. I was shocked brought in 3 bass as well. This only happened after I fell out of my kayak lol lost my best rod and reel, and my sun shades😭 everything was great after that lol I had a BLAST I really wanted to Thank you for your Vids!! Giving up that blue crab for bait...I mean instead of taking it home to eat for me would be a conundrum lol. From what I remember trolling the inter-coastal water ways/river meant trolling right on the break to deeper water. Anyway great video as always dude. Cheers SoSoCal

Everytime I see those bouys,it reminds me of Jaws. I have never been able to shake that feeling because in the anchor chain their are alot if feeding fish . Nonetheless awesome Kayak and set up.

I finally tried some frozen blue crab for bait. I generally never use anything but lures. I felt a couple taps and all the meat would be off the shell. Never a real 'hit'. I was in 1 foot of water, so I had to cast the bait over to an oyster bar, rather than jigging straight down. After one crab, (4 baits), I took off the banana jig and put a lure back on.

I use it primarily to find underwater structure, Mark fish, and gps to have an idea of where I am or where I’m going. Also to stay on the spot once I’ve found fish if I’m fishing an area with no above water structure.
