Hey KC, iFish South Texas out of a 14ft Jon deep and wide. I do lots of drift and suspended fishing like you. Most guys say, if you don't hook up with in 30 minutes go somewhere else. I think I'm listening to the wrong guys cuz you sit there for hours and catch a nice fish!! My question is I see you pulling your bait out of plastic bags? Does it really keep for long that way? Would love to see you show us how do you keep bait for the day especially when you caught it the day before? Thank you!!
@KayakCatfish4 жыл бұрын
My next video is actually going to be about sitting on one spot versus constantly moving. It should be up on Tuesday night. As for bait, I just put it in a ziplock bag and then pack ice around the bag in my cooler. Keeps the bait from sitting in water and getting mushy.

@@KayakCatfish I live on a small Pacific Island 3000 miles South West of Hawaii called American Samoa. (Im originally a good old country boy from PA) I live on a 120ft 200ton ship anchored in the harbor. I am semi-retired and often fish the near by deep ocean for tuna, Marlin and Giant Sharks. 20 years ago I had a shark up to the boat that was 33ft and i think it was 30% larger then the world record. IN those days everyone didnt have an Iphone with a camera or random recording ability. It was bigger than my boat and very dangerous. I have a bigger fishing boat now and I am back hunting that beast or another one like it. Im not a sport fisherman. IM a meat hunter. What I cant use I give to needy families. I use live bait and I usually drift fish different depths much like you only on a slightly larger scale. But as I watched your video, I saw myself sitting like you patently with bait in the water enjoying the day just like you. I really enjoyed the commentary and your catfish were really beautiful size. If your ever in the neighborhood I would love to take you on a day out. We dont always catch. But when we do, you will need a day or two for your muscles to recover. LOL..... The weather is great right now. I may go fishing this week. You have inspired me to video the day out for at minimum my grandsons pleasure to watch in the future. Maybe I will post on line. Who knows. But your kind of fishing is my kind of fishing 100%. Good luck! I will be watching.

So question - when that fish flopped off, you can take a screen shot from your computer from the video, send that to an email. Then get to that email from your phone and download the picture. You clearly got the fish on camera - would they accept that picture for the tournament - or would they deny it because it doesn't have the time/gps stamp? Because I'm a month or two away from joining you guys in these tournaments, but I don't have much of a choice of when I can fish so if it's raining - I'll be out there without my phone - but my camera *isn't water proof. Just trying to figure out a work around.
@KayakCatfish4 жыл бұрын
It would ultimately be up to the tournament judge as to whether or not the fish would be accepted. Per the official rules, it should be disqualified, however, with raw video footage showing the location and a date/time stamp on the video, a good case could be made to have it approved. When you join the tournaments, it is best to make sure you try to get a cell phone pic though.
