Great work, you certainly make it look easy. Have you ever tried circle hooks as the stinger?
@fishingmad7 ай бұрын
Thanks !! Nah I havent tired that but agree it would be worth giving a go. Good news is 99% of the time the stinger gets pined on the side and easily removed
@eddiev19807 ай бұрын
@@fishingmad I also notice that you seem to use braid for the stinger hook, have you tried flurocarbon but found braid is better ?

G'day Alan what size hooks do you use for the turtle back singer and the brand please great videos, I'm going to have a go for FGs of the beach cheers look forward to hearing from you.

I get the rigs made by Jason at On the edge lures, they are usually tt headlocks 1/12 with an additional eyelet welded in and 80mm of leader to a small hook

Hi Alan, I was wondering if you could tell me any good spots for King George whiting along the port Phillip bay that me and my dad could bring our kayaks to, thanks!
@fishingmad7 ай бұрын
There are so many good spots, st leonards, geelong, point wilson. tootgarook, blairgowrie, rye, much of this is documented in the fishingmad members area with launch maps and marks. Cheers

Hey mate when could you do another carp fishing sesh vid
@fishingmad7 ай бұрын
Yeah, it has been a while since doing some carp content. We always get really funny comments and stuff from viewers when we cover carp. That water temp is really dropping know Carp fish a lot better in the warmer months, so ill put it on the radar for some time soon

😂 local tackle shop said they sold out of the soft plastic worms shortly after this video
@fishingmad7 ай бұрын
LOL I know I have had so many tackle stores write to me over the years saying they sell out of turtlebacks every time I post a vid with them, shame I never ever hear from Berkley ( they get so much free advertising from the channel )

are the T-curves more sensitive than the zodias?
@fishingmad7 ай бұрын
Id say the T-Curve, T-Curve Prem and Zodias are very similar, the expride however is much more sensitive and more light weight.

Alan, I have a really good question.What kayak do you recommend that you can paddle with the blades by peddling it like a bike?Thank you
@fishingmad7 ай бұрын
Have a look at this article I wrote which details all the yaks we have used fishingmad.com.au/article/fishing-kayak-buyers-guide-2024 in kayaking you tend to get what you pay for in terns of stability. Its really hard to go past a hobie, if you can find one 2nd hand on marketplace or the likes is a great way to go something like a compass, Outback, or Pro Angler.

Nice one Alan - I think I can guess, but can you share the location in the members section?
@fishingmad7 ай бұрын
Yeah it sure does, we have weekly reports for PPB, WP, Land based, estuary and freshwater which covers all the areas we fish. The FishingMad KZbin channel has shared so many locations and techniques over the years, but the members area provides a lot more detail and insight.
