I nearly cried when you put that millerod in the metal rod holder 😳😩💵
@fishingmad3 жыл бұрын
I know it literally put it in the holder for 10 seconds as I didn't want to get my dirty squid hands on the rod without cleaning them and boom catch in 2 seconds. prob wont use it squid fishing next time around.

That eagle ray was awesome!! Love catching those things on bigger spin gear they pull bloody good

Thanks 👍 Yeah there so surprising those eagle rays they go on massive runs that can confuse you to thinking its something else. It looked awesome when it leapt out of the water and went on that massive run. Thanks for watching Rhys

The beauty of fishing local (my spot is only 2 minutes away), if things run out, it's a quick trip home and back 🙂

Loved the intro Alan, nice touch there. We got couple of whiting too - top end of WP, couple were nudging 48cm so I know the feeling! What spec is that Terez rod you were using on that ray ?
@fishingmad3 жыл бұрын
Thanks 👍 Yeah some crazy size whiting up that way, great to hear you got a fee aswell. Amazing that whiting can pull drag. If you can believe the terez is only a 15-40lb crazy strength as that Ray would have been 300 kilos plus I wreckon

Hey mate I’m going up to tookgarook near rye and going to fish at port Philip while I’m up there could I please get some tips to catch whiting off the pier or beach and kayak
@fishingmad2 жыл бұрын
Tookgarook is an awesome spot inclose for squid and whiting. Really productive grounds. Have a look at these which may help kzbin.info/www/bejne/h2ipeWqNbZiVmdE and kzbin.info/www/bejne/qmWonIOGm7ankNU

Sorry another question for tookgarook how far out do you think we will be best on the kayak or just off the pier
@fishingmad2 жыл бұрын
Off the kayak just a few hundred meters there are reels in close everwhere. When we are on the boat we usually fish about 1 kilometer away from the shore. We details some GPS marks and locations in our members area fishingmad.com.au/member on the pier prob on tide changes sunset/sunrise and berley if you can
