The Noosa Bar, Bay and Beyond. Thursday morning, May 23, 2024.

Tuna in numbers just outside the bar was a feature of this morning here in Noosa although the locally made Martini Luxury House Boat having another go at making it to the Gold Coast Boat Show wasn't far behind. This time they were shepherded by the ocean going Pusher Tug 'Mildred'. Last I heard they were south of Coolum so fingers crossed. BOM forecast is for southerly winds 15 to 20 knots, reaching up to 25 knots offshore north of Maroochydore during the morning. Winds turning south easterly in the evening. Seas: 1 to 1.5 metres. Swell: South to south easterly below 1 metre inshore, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres offshore. Filmed between 6.00am and 8.45am which was either side of a 1.62m high tide. Really Wild. Have been watching the influence that the sand pump has had altering the inner bars there for a while now....and goes to show in a speeded up form how the earth can br manipulated very quickly. All barways and their estuaries constantly move around... how lucky we are to still have uncontrolled nature!
