Even if I don't get round to making a box, you have some good ideas that I can see I'll use in less ambitious projects - Thanks

Great vid and well thought out. I made one many years ago in wood without the legs but I over engineered and even though then I was fit and strong it was very heavy and had to invest in a trolly to carry it to my swims. The good news in the UK we can start to fish soon! :)

Thanks Phillip. When I started building Seat Boxes 30 years ago, I made the same mistake. I could also hardly lift mine. Lol.

Again a professional job Den, I am keen to see you add wheels and if you can add them and keep the box stable, I want a box that has extendable legs but with integrated wheels that fold up :)
@FishingwithDen4 жыл бұрын
Hi Leslie. Unfortunately my wheels will be incorporated into a new and separate Platform/Trolley, so that would not solve your problem. As a thought though, you could take out the middle 2 legs of the box and use the holes to fit a set of wheels using an axle. When you arrive at you peg, you then just replace the legs into the holes. The handles would be something you have to consider though. One final thought is that my existing wheels are quite heavy, so if they folded up on your box, it would add weight for those times you don't actually use them. Sorry, I could not resolve your problem.

Nice box,but I would like the draws at the front,save having too keep turning round to reach for items,but that's me
@FishingwithDen4 жыл бұрын
No worries. It's just personal preference for me. The drawers can be changed to the front easily. All you need to do is turn the Topbox around before securing it at the sides. The beauty of building a box for yourself is that you just build what works for you. If you needed side drawers, that can be accommodated too.

Nice job. What about your coffee this time? Last time you had to accommodate the flask.

Lol. Good memory Kay. The flask now goes into my huge carryall.

I would like to know how you build accessories for seatboxs

Hi Jack, This coming week's video covers how I build my side trays, and next week I will cover how to build a Pole Support or Spray Bar. After that, there will be a video on some other bits and pieces like rod rests and finally, there will be one covering how to make a Platform/Trolley. I hope that helps.
