I got an old steel muffin pan at the thrift store for making decoy anchors. For my decoy anchors I only poured to about a 3/4 inch thickness. After pouring my weights I'd pour the leftover melted lead to the top of the muffin pan. They're the perfect size ingots for melting!

Tin can make some good jig heads and lures too. It stays shiny, unlike lead, and so you can often get away without painting it. And the lower density can sometimes be a benefit, as your baits/lures sink more slowly even when using the same weight.

Anyway, bismuth is way less toxic than lead, but you should be well inspired to keep wearring your "respirator" during the whole casting process. Take care guys ! GBY all :)
