Cameron Diaz is such a sentimental fave from my childhood that it overshadows any shortcomings this movie had. Im just happy to see her back on screen because it made me feel like it’s the 2010s again. Im filing this under: Guilty Pleasures.

there was a piece where netflix gives notes / has rules like "characters need to announce what they're doing when they enter a room" ... ie it is purposefully designed for people who are folding laundry / not paying attention

Think I will skip this one. You are both so entertaining I could watch you review movies all day. How on earth does Nick know so much about actors/movies/directors etc? Astonishing. Would pick him for my pub quiz team. You should check out Stath Let's Flats with Jamie Demetriou. Comedy gold.

Did anyone else find it weird that Cameron and Jamie never kissed in the movie? Every time they were about to kiss they got interrupted. Meanwhile the grandmother and her boyfriend had at least two kissing scenes.
@taydestiny3810 күн бұрын
I noticed it and found it very weird! It’s not like they made this during the pandemic or something. Glad someone else found a problem with that besides me.

I went in to this movie as a pg-13 movie for kids. With that in mind, I thought it was good.

I thought this movie was fun to laugh at how dumb it was. It felt like it was written by a kid. "What if our parents were spies, and they didn't tell us? And one day you went to the club ( even though you're not supposed to because you're 14), & then our parents find out you're at the club so they go there and beat up some guys trying to stop you from leaving. But then the people at the club recorded the fight and post it online, & some former enemies of our parents find out where they're living and attack them at our house. And then they come pick us up from school, and we flee to England". Like are we for real right now? People are being paid to write that? It's definitely not getting a Golden Globe, but I really just think they thought it would be easy money.

Why are all these big movies with "A" list actors like a burning pile of hot dogsh!t? (or hotdog sh!t ) In the school I went to, you wouldn't get an A for producing this kind of drivel, let alone get $10+ million. How does everyone see a better way to tell the story and all this stuff still gets produced? Why?

I like Foxx and Diaz and enjoyed watching them. LOVED Glenn Close in this movie!! Her dude was nice camedic relief, too. The teen daughter was annoying as I'm sure she was written to be. Liked the son.
@jcaashby37 күн бұрын
I never watched the trailer for this so went in blind. As soon as I saw the two kids I knew I was NOT going to like this movie at all. Especially the tired trope of the the kids acting like spoiled brats. And sure enough the oldest daughter was extremely annoying. Like really a 14 year old at a club drinking. I assumed as soon as the people hanging with her at the club they would react to her age in a negative way towards the 14 year old. Instead they were OK hanging with a minor.

Lackluster is the perfect word to describe this movie, it seems, but I MIGHT watch it one evening if I’ve got nothing else on the schedule. I would’ve loved to see Cameron Diaz & Jamie Fox in something really funny. Bad Teacher was a film I really liked with Cameron! Why did she chose This script for her big comeback? IDK, but I think her being in this is the biggest reason I might check it out.💟☮️💜

I do not expect much from these types of movies but how was the kid able to pay US cash for the food while in England. I was waiting for the cashier to say something like "we do not except US currency". Also when Jamie Foxx takes the game console from his kid and tosses it out the window and lands in another vehicle...he never interacted with the game handheld but when it was found it had a message on it from Jamie Foxx.....WHEN did he write that message!? It also would have been nice to see Jamie and Cameron actually get there asses kicked a few times. They have been out of action for 15 years but were whipping everyone the WHOLE MOVIE!!!!!!
