Don’t forget to check your vortechs I had an MP40 magnet rust out and kill a number of my colonies within two weeks! If it’s making a noise check it, my magnet has swelled very quickly and dump its guts in the tank. Two other colonies were knocked hard and still might not make it. Rust and sps don’t mix.

I planned on replacing them for that reason
@jestronixhanderson98984 жыл бұрын
Or.... I might replace the wetsides , I did get 7 years out of them and I got them second hand. Surprising it was a new one that was right before the QDS that came out, which were known for their issues. But can I trust the new wetsides. Im thinking Jeboa, rip replace every few years, meanwhile upgrading to new models, However the vortechs are impressive

Is tissue necrosis same thing as tissue falling off and skeleton showing? Trying to save a new arrival of a HUGE gorgeous rainbow wellos. I have bought two and each one died! I buy a lot from this supplier and none of the theirs have I had problems with! He refunded last one but dont have nerve to ask again and didint notice (except slight smell to water) untill time frame past but gets worse every day and afraid a dip may stress it more! My thinking is since none of the other 10 ( acclimating on sand bed) I bought are fine must been a problem with coarl or maybe they dont ship well!

Travis, just curious do any of your tattoos have a military connection? I'm a new sub and only got a glimpse of one on your wrist, maybe a ribbon.. I'm an old Marine. Anyway thanks again for sharing your experience and I'm really excited to get my 2 rock anemones, Chalice and Sinularia. The rock anemones placement, would you recommend the substrate or rock? I see a lot of people put them in the sand but they are called rock anemones.... I would appreciate your input, I love your no bull shit style. Much appreciated. Wendell

Can keeping your tank to clean kill coral, having some lose and parameters are where they should be, tank has been running a year!

One issue that bothers me about the conventional wisdom of starting with non-SPS is that so many of these other corals are awfully aggressive. So when one finally gets to SPS the tank is at war with some fearsome, dug in, forces. My plan is therefore to start with peaceful SPS that are not too difficult. Live Aquaria indicates peacefulness on its pages, which is a start.
@FunkyCorals Жыл бұрын
Honestly, I bought every type of coral in one shot. I bought 10 of them and placed them in the tank. I probably have every coral you can think of in my tank lol I NEVER had a war or anything. Never. And I have some "aggressive" ones next to softies and zero problem. They learn to acclimate next to each other.
@skzion2 Жыл бұрын
@@FunkyCorals This may reaffirm that one should not place aggressive corals first. Placing them together is different.
