Arctic Grayling - DAY 3 - Frontier Fishing Lodge Adventure

Day 3 of my Frontier Fishing Lodge Adventure and we are after Arctic Grayling. There is a gas shortage at the lodge and the town in closed down temporary to unload the supply barge, so we put down the electric trolling motor and head out front of the lodge to the mouth of the Stark River, in search of Arctic Grayling and possibly a Lake Trout, maybe even a Whitefish, if we are lucky. But our main target today is to catch an Arctic Grayling on a dry fly, which will be a first for me, then we can pull out the Float Reel and she how many fish we can catch!

Stark River is nice little slice of Grayling heaven! So many good spots up and down that river! I’m looking forward to going back there next summer.

It is a super cool place to fish. Totally awesome to bring my boat this time and experience fishing it with no mosquitoes 🦟 carrying me away! 😆 I still have not made it up past the boat launch.

Yes. This was a couple summers ago. It was Very Smokey this summer.
