Ah, to be a little skittle of a shrimp, living in a beautiful bowl with a beautiful waterfall, having a kind giant watching over you and feeding you. Damn. These shrimp have it made. Dream luxury villa for them!

I laughed when you pulled the bowl out. I've always known those as "goldfish bowls" - oh, the horror! Love the final product, so cool. I bet the shrimp have discovered the algae growing on the waterfall wood, so the more adventurous climb up for it.

I know everybody wants to grow, wants to get bigger or more impressive scales. But this little piece of beauty is the stuff I can look at all day and never get tired. Something small and affordable to put in a little empty corner that can give you so much relaxation and entertainment. 🥰 You should try and sell something like these bowls 😅

One advice. pour some gravel behind under the filter to protect pump head from sand particles. If you leave it like that there will probably be some damage in the near future.

This is the magic of fish keeping - you find an old fish bowl in your garage or maybe one on clearance at a garden supply store, then you add extra plants/animals/equipment you have lying around or donated by friends, but you have a clear vision - when the hardscape is obviously a waterfall (with the extra pump we all have lol). Then voila, you have a beautiful art piece for your breakfast bar AND you learn something new about animals you've kept many times before. Thank you so much for sharing. And have a very happy holidays!

Well done Matt. Well done. I want one. Oh if you do one on a bigger scale you could set it up for some mud skippers. That would be so cool.

I can't believe what a great miniature landscape you made. That is a 1960s style goldfish bowl from the days when we tortured poor goldfish by actually keeping them in things like that with no filtration. It's amazing what you fit inside it and how well it turned out. BUT in my opinion that bowl is hideous and I would take the whole thing out and put it into a pretty little glass cube where you can actually see it. Maybe it is my bad memories of those bowls, lol. Thank you for the inspiration and entertainment - have a very happy Christmas😊❤💚❤💚

Oh it looks really zen, and beautiful! Perfect placement too for when you are just starting your day and just need to calm the mind ready for whatever life throws at you. Just want to say, if you haven't already that is, I'm sure you have because you are no noob to this hobby, you might want to flip your nerite snail right way up, as they can't right themselves on their own and will die otherwise. I only mention this because mine died because he got knocked off the side of the tank and couldn't right himself. I didn't know anything back then lol

love this bowl tank! if you want to make the waterfall a bit stronger you can add some small stones/gravel at the exit of the tube so the stones reduce the velocity and it doesn't splash maybe worth a try ;)
