Tip from a dayz main, when zombies are running at you, walk backwards while holding your hands or melee weapon and it’ll block zombie attacks. They attack twice before they give you a break so block this first two hits, then use your heavy attack to stun lock them to avoid all zombie damage:)

also if you in to fighting zombies, there is chance get infection, to cure it you'll need a alcohol tincture or iodine or disinfectant spray at early stages, later only tetracycline can help. 😀

Tip: You do a lot of item swapping in hands, for example you have a gun in hand and you swap it for a bandage. The correct or better way to do it is to double click the rifle and then put bandage in empty hands. Its better to double click items because then they go to their reserved slot in the inventory. While swapping the items also tries to swap their place in inventories.

I'm really enjoying seeing this Fisk! Big tip (if it's not already been mentioned a million times), always tip out water in containers you find (canteens, plastic bottles etc) and fill it at a well. There's a chance the container spawns with a chance to make you Ill with cholera. That shit is not fun 😂

I understand Fisk was new to DayZ but he had me pulling my damn hair out cause there were so many things he could have done easily to help himself out, like for instance he had a damn Saline bag and saline start kit to combine to fix his blood loss smfh. Lol love ya Fisk.

Empty Water bottles you find first and then refill. Probably why you were sick. You can make hand wraps out of rags so no need to wash hands after cutting up food and avoid getting sick. Add kindling (paper, bark or rags) to sticks or firewood to make fireplace. Then use fire drill on the fireplace. Picked up this game 2wks ago and already have 120hrs. Its so addictive and every day is never the same. Keep up the good work, loving it.

I do like watching DayZ videos - it inspired me to try the game out this last week myself. 5 hours on a low ping low pop official server. No people, no animals, no idea where I am. Scraping by on food, water is fine due to two plastic bottles. Tried a Medium pop server to see interactions. Ran about, bopped a few Zs, darkness starting to fall and no knife to open the food can, no bullets, empty damaged rifle, first person I saw ran straight up to me and shot me in the face as I raised my hand in greeting. No comms or anything. So I feel you on the DayZ taketh side. LOL.

You can just put the tree bark in the fire for kindle (it's in the same section where you had the cloth at on point) and then you can use the fire drill to start it :)

Brings me back to the pure immersion when you first step foot into dayz! Five vital recommendations for Fisk or anyone else thats new! 1.) When fighting zombies, stun locking them is key! Shift+Left Click [However when and how to do so you'll have to figure out, aiming for headshots with melee weapons makes a significant difference]. 2.) When you don't think theres loot in a room ALWAYS open your inventory, and look at [Vacinity] section you'd be suprised how many times a knife, handgun, and most importantly bullets are half submerged in beds, or on shelves, especially if you can't physically grab it as an action. 3.) ALWAYS MAKE RAG HANDWRAPS LOL. The second you can rip up some rags, make handwraps. So many times i've gotten sick from eating/drinking with blood on hands, or cut my hands climbing, or already had bloody hands and couldn't find a way to wash them but if you cover them up with gloves/rags you cant eat as if your hands weren't dirty :) 4.) You can adjust your voice in game by pressing up and down on arrow keys. 5.) Lastly but by far the best advice i was given, i HIGHLY recommend playing on DayOne Servers. They're the most authentic and well monitored server's that continue to deliver the BEST DayZ experience possible! No base building, night cycles are properly illuminated by moonlight without that granulated filter the dedicated servers use. With a couple extra mods that add to the wide array of loot from clothing, proper spawns, helicopters, and a few guns/attachments that aren't game breaking, and really compliment the original items from vanilla. Hope this helps, please continue your journey and continue providing excellent content. Look forward to hopefully crossing paths, either as friend or foe :)

So for the map there’s some key places to know and then you can learn the map with ease. Learn the costal towns and then you can tell where you want to go by keeping the water on your left or right. After that once you go inland you should learn where the castles are. Zubb devils castle etc. after that just learn the large towns zlenogorsk, vybor, nw air field. Starry etc. once you learn the key places where the high tier loot is you can choose your loot route fairly easy. Send me a message if you want to hop on a call ever etc

When you have a minor cut use the rags to heal yourself. Save the bandages for worse injuries. Rags take just a hair longer to heal your self than bandage. Just a little helpful info! Love the videos keep it up

Also one trick to fight zombies without getting hit is basically zombies will always strike twice so if u protect yourself while backing up after they strike u can hit them at least twice before they go again on the same fighting pattern. There’s also a key to hit stronger so u kill them faster. Hopefully it makes sense 😂

It's a top tier extreme survival game that attracts hardcore PvPers. It's designed to force killing others to survive. Resources are key. That's possibly why someone locked the police station. To secure loot that respawns there. You have to adapt to being heartless sometimes or other players will keep eating you alive all the time. Play with friends that can watch either your back or take out your opponent and then watch your stuff. Otherwise you'll need to approach people in safe zones to seek out an alliance.

dayz is a harsh game when you first start but after a while it does get easier. dont drink out of any container that isnt a can or you will get sick and dont trust anyone at first. with the fire you need to add kindling then use the hand drill kit on the actual fireplace to get it to light up and you will need a sharpened long stick to combine your raw meat with to be able to cook it and you have to wait about 30 sec until you see coals under the fire to be able to roast the meat. hope this helps ;-)

If you use a stack of 3 short sticks on a burlap backpack that you saw on the zombie, it goes up to 42 slots from 30 and its a good environment blending color. And after playing long enough you pick up the pattern of bad intentions, and can kind of tell when people are up to no good

Fisk, pick up those epi-pens and morphine. Epi gives you a boost when you're low stamina or hurt so you can run. And morphine for obvious reasons when you're hurt and such, both can be a difference between life and death

Lol, I twitched so hard when you drank the water bottle you found. Never drink water bottles you didn't fill yourself... You can scroll through ui (or look at ground) to pour it out, then refill at a well for clean water. Unwritten rule, if you running around with your weapon out you're seen as aggressive. People may be more likely to not shoot first if you don't have weapon in your hands

Already love the series. I am a big DayZ player. Btw you can not start a campfire indoors. Only way to cook indoors is with a stove in the house or a cooking pot with propane burner.

Blackout doesn't play anymore or make videos anymore but the other 2 do, not of dayZ recently I'm sure, BUT my point is, dayZ you have to be ruthless sadly... unless you have a nice group of your own, which of course you have a group of friends perfect with communication. DayZ has always been ruthless, and heartless definitely to a fresh spawn, either if you've just died from a long journey or just a few minutes from your last death. I think the reason of you not being able to light your campfire, is that you can't light it inside of buildings. So you should either go outside or find a house with a fireplace.
