Generally bears don't eat people. Generally. If ones really hungry it will, which can then cause it to develop a taste for human, which then classifies it as a man eater making it much more dangerous to people than the average bear. That's why bears who have been found to have attacked and then fed on people get hunted down by forest rangers. Bear attacks, when they happen, are usually either territorial or to do with cubs.

Well my coutry have a lots of bears but we don't carry guns on public. Its not allowed. Also bear hunts are strictly illegal so your reasoning can only apply to USA.

@bcav712 Bear spray has been proven to actually attract bears, sure they do repel bears, but after thats done it will attract the bears. I might be wrong though so do some research.

@@serafima2 Exactly. Don't knwo where you live, but we also have bears - I'm in Sweden - but it's generally just advised to not stray into forests during bear cub seasons. I honestly don't think we have had many incidents with bears, there was one that got between the momma bear and her cubs, but I dont know if he got wounded too bad, think mostly scared.

a bear would absolutely eat a person but only if that person is already passed or if the bear saw a person as a possible food item, otherwise most bears (yes even grizzlys) would rather avoid people cause we can still fight back and bears aren't dumb enough to take on something that can also harm them as well

All I remember was this news of this unfortunate couple that ran into a starving bear and you can hear the audio of the poor girl getting eaten alive. Pretty sure she was calling for her mom too while in shock.

@@Zephanir Bears are Scavangers as much as they are opertunistic preadators. if they think they can successfully hunt something and not get injured from it, they will take that chance and secure food, that does enclude humans. And yes, if a human were to get lost in the woods and pass due to elements, sickness, lack of survival experience, etc. if a bear were to pass by that persons body, they would most likely eat it cause for them, a dead body is a free meal if no other large carnivore was eating from it. Grizzly bears, from what i've heard, prefer Rotten meat, sometimes when they make a kill, they will burry it and let it rot for some time then eat it. can a bear kill a human: Yes. Will it go out its way to kill a human: most likely not unless it was out of Desperation or Protection (if its a Mother protecting her cubs) otherwise most bears will most likely avoid humans.

Yes agree with this. Bears would normally rather totally avoid people at all costs. They will generally only attack them if either cornered or protecting their cubs, or seriously starving for food and unable to find any other easier food sources. But even then, they would probably be pretty wary of hunting a live human for food, and would only do it if extremely desperate.

Bruh. Literally every large mammal that bears hunt can hurt them. Moose can absolutely kill bears. Elk can stab the hell out of bears with their antlers. Every single hunt is a risk. If they are hungry enough, they will kill and eat other bears. You have no idea what you’re talking about. Leave the animal behavior to the experts.

Makes me want to play this. I loved the Long Dark but it had a lot of missing elements. Like crafting and building. I think theyre making it where you can cusomize the cabins but not sure when. If it changes i may go back to it. But this looks awesome. I talked to Fooster and told him he should make a video game. But it just hit me. You and him should band together and make a survival game! I bet it would be the best.

I agree, although wolves aren't exactly helpless either. We underestimate them. Speaking from personal experience, I always thought (still at times think) wolves are the same size as German shepherds. However, I have been dislodged of this notion time and time again. They are quite fearsome and formidable creatures. While they do not go after humans willingly, I believe it's a bit narrow minded to think they wouldn't take their chance should an intruder present itself.

Wolves don't trespass on other packs territories, but they will defend their territory from intruders such as humans if need be.

They 100% will hunt people, the thing is, there is a primal language all animals share, and when a person has a gun or other weapon, they emit a confidence that is sensed by both predators and prey. It's transmitted though body language and pheromones in your sweat. It works with wolves, bears, cougars, or any mammal really. When a pack is hungry and inexperienced, they will circle you up and will do bluffs from the front while the ones at your back and side will full charge. You kill one or two and the rest will avoid people until their pack is again populated and lead by inexperienced members. It is rare because most have seen humans kill at some point through hunter and farmer interactions. Wolves even follow hunters when they hope to scavenge. They even communicate with crows that lead them to prey and leave them the left overs. If the situation is such a person cannot defend themselves when these interaction happens, due to being unarmed, injured, or just being too small, like a child, wolves will destroy you. Our sense of smell sucks, other predators do not have that problem. Smelling fear is an actual scientific thing, your very state of mind and the literal resulting body language can result if vastly different interactions with these kinds of animals. Not just predators either. Try getting to know a horse, they will 100% mess with people if they are afraid of them. It isn't even that they are messing with them, they sense they're nervous and it makes them nervous.

@@kaitlynl6161 That isn't accurate to say in regards to their size. They actually range from 40-200 pounds. The average weights are 80-110 lbs for females and 100-130 lbs for the males. This is mainly dependent of location. Alaskan wolves are normally 175 lbs. Averages for german shepherds, 55-70 lbs for a female and 75-90 for a male. Those are not the same weight classes.

9:17 Black and Brown bears usually dont eat people they have other sources of food but a Polar bear only eats meat so it will eat people no problem. Although black bears are by far the least likely to eat people (I dont think they would even et you probably just kill you if you got too close to cubs or something)

Fact Sheets One Wolfs have some of the best nose in existence Dog where bred off them so their you're levels and in lower temperature Scent linger longer however windy environment make scents disappear faster they run in Packs or Duo never single and they are never static in a guarding position even at their den they are simply resting. they also react very violently to one of their own being killed and will hunt down whoever or whatever did it unless it a bear or something larger. Also smoke drive them back considerable as does fire, as it disable and limit their sense of smell of anything but the smoke. Bear can run 40mph not sure how fast they swim have incredible nose, and are scavenger any food they can find they will eat brown bear or grizzly bear are semi omnivores most of their diet is meat however thing like grass are usually mix in and Bear are incredible at hunting fish and can grow massive however you will never find more than one bear in a general area as they are territorial.
