Shift knob and simple HVAC levers are better than electronic buttons in my opinion. For $20,000 you are expecting too much. Want more, go spend $30,000+ for a full electronic controlled car. The Fit is a great car for the price!!

classic-style handbrake, real gear shifter, manual ac controls etc were part of why i bought this car. i resent the digital volume (touch) control for the audio but the rest is great. manual, simple to use controls are the best - for me at least.

Not to mention we are talking about a sub 20K vehicle. And let's be real, for most of us older Honda Civic fans, the Fit, is a decent nod to the what the Civic used to be, a small, light weight, can do, and get you there kind of car. With just enough kick to it, to make fun, without it being an overly modified buzz bomb.

If it's not broke, don't fix it. The transmission shifter, knobs, and lever works just fine and are more reliable than the electronic shifter and digital buttons. The more electronics and technology there are, the more likely to fail and are more expensive to repair. Be practical.

I was a bit disappointed in the acceleration with the 2019 Honda Fit EX, but I ended up buying the car anyway. The safety features, Android Auto, and price were what sold me. Since most of my driving is street driving, I don't need power acceleration. When I do need the bit of extra power (heading on to a ramp), I turn the Econ thing off. With Econ on, I'm averaging about 34.5mpg. (Low 33.5mpg, High 35.9mpg). I've been an owner of my black 2019 Honda Fit EX since March 2019.

Does the ACC has low speed follow?
@Machtyn
@Machtyn 4 жыл бұрын
@@Pyroo0 I'm not sure what you are asking, but I'll try to answer. I leave the Econ thing on all the time unless I need to accelerate. When I have the cruise control set (whether or not the Econ is set), it will slow down when my car gets too close to the vehicle in front of it or speed up to my set speed (if going too slow).

Do you still like it? I just got one:)
@Machtyn
@Machtyn 3 жыл бұрын
@@boka-baka I do still like it. My complaint about acceleration is a non-factor. I leave the econ thing on all the time. MPG is still within the range mentioned in my original comment. My only complaint is trunk space. I can't fit a bag of golf clubs in the back storage area. I can put it in the back seat, though. I can get my hockey bag in the back area, but the hockey stick slides over the back seat. I've taken it on a few long trips (2 hour drives) and it handles just fine. Android Auto just makes my day. I usually only have troubles when the USB cable starts to break. I also always leave the lights on Auto, which is nice. The front and back wipers work well. The rear camera does well enough during good weather, but is blurry at night and nearly unusable during rain/snow. Taking right turns with the turn signal on will turn the right side camera on. But doing this blocks the Android Auto boot up, which is a little annoying at the beginning of a drive while you may be trying to speak your navigation instructions or get your phone's music and audio book started. I know there is a recall on a part that was just issued, so you may want to check with a local Honda dealership to see if that part needs replacing in your Fit.

I am 6ft 9in and buying cars sucks. I always looked the other way at the fit since it's so small but today I took it on a 2 hour test drive and I want to buy one next year (when I have more money). What I love is this thing feels like a go cart

@@jasondeli I ended up buying the then new 2020 Civic Sport Hatch. Fit is nice but honestly it's more of an inner city car. I needed the extra carry room and the Civic without the sunroof actually fits tall people very well (10th gen, idk about the new one). With the fit the wheel can be moved around. It is like a toaster inside, skinny, but very tall. I could sit straight and switch gears along with pressing the clutch with ease. Even easier if you want an automatic

Just leased one of these little puddle jumpers to replace a troublesome 2006 CRV. I got the base model. It's OK, nothing special....like it but don't love it. New CRVs are really nice though. The Fit has all the suspension characteristics of a roller skate. You can feel every stone in the road thanks to the short wheelbase. My other gripe is that you have to reach back to open the console lid...awkward for me. I can live with this car for 36 months but will not get another one.

With just enough kick to it, to make fun, without it being an overly modified buzz bomb. It's that lack of digital tech, and comfort creature materials/amenities that can make driving it fun on a visceral level, something that gives the driver an optimal connection to the car and the resulting feedback. My last Honda was a bare bones 91EF hatchback (aka the ED-6) it had 75 horses, nimble, and maneuverable, as it was a welterweight vehicle, not a lot of hp is necessary to get it going nicely. Even as it turned twenty years old, at the time.

Own both a 2012 Civic and a 2017 Fit. Love them both for different reasons. The Fit is just so practical for my urban driving and occasional use of its surprisingly huge cargo area. The Civic is the car I take on road trips....nice smooth ride there. Both cars get excellent fuel mileage and have never-ever had anything go wrong with either of them.

If you haven't sold it yet, what's the specs and how much are you looking to get for it? x'D (This is a half joke. If you're in Colorado, I might be interested) Been looking for Fit for a while. 3rd gen is my preferred, but 2nd gen will suffice if I find an amazing deal on one. Otherwise I've got till October to buy one. (Emissions on my current car expires in October, and I *really* doubt it will pass this time.)

What’s the difference between cvt and automatic ?
@QuickshiftCars
@QuickshiftCars 5 жыл бұрын
To the average driver it probably feels the same, but a CVT has an unlimited amount of gear ratios rather than set gears like in a transmission. It's supposedly smoother.
@Hachiro
@Hachiro Жыл бұрын
For driving around, CVT and regular automatic can be treated mostly the same. (They are both automatic transmissions) Traditional automatic transmissions use planetary gear sets with clutch packs, while CVT transmissions use spools and a metal belt. CVTs are more efficient, but also more sensitive to bad maintenance. You also don't want to do a lot of towing with a CVT. Planetary automatics require fluid changes every 60k-90k miles (Sometimes sooner, check your owner's manual and do your own research for your specific car), while CVTs require changes more frequently. (30k-50k miles) Though, maintain any part of your car correctly, and it should last a long time. (Except for Nissan CVTs. Those die easily) I remember reading that for the CVT in the Honda Fit, the first fluid change should be at 60k miles, then every 30k miles after that. (Though confirm that yourself, to be sure)
