Hey champ! Would like to know how they feel when you hit the bag with them. Currently looking for a pair of gloves for the bag that have a nice pop and very much considering this. Thank you for this lovely review!

How do these compare to the Adidas AIBA gloves?
@nb06164 жыл бұрын
first and foremost, great review mate! though i would have liked to see you try to bend your wrist as that's absolutely crucial to glove quality (wrist support). if i'm not mistaken, which i very well may be, i believe that canvas thumb attachment is a requirement by aiba. i feel bad for the gb youth team or anyone who has to use these or have an opponent who uses them (though i have never seen an amatuer event with each fighter using different brand gloves). anyways i had an opportunity to do a bit of practice with my coach between bouts at a cup. so my first take was "bloody hell i'm glad we're using adidas in senior category!" (and i hate adidas gloves) because just picking them up i noticed the fairly hard, protruding label on the strap and the edging along the strap itself. that's a fine way to cut your opponent.then there's the wrist support. like i said i hated the adidas aiba amatuer competition gloves we had to use. dreadful wrist support. same with these sting bits. i hate velcro gloves in the first place as they're always inferior to laces. i think its absolutely criminal that they make fighters compete in velcro gloves... something i don't even like on the heavybag or even the mits. then, the gloves are un-taped per aiba rules. so you have inferior wrist support that can't be taped to increase wrist support or cover the velcro that can cut your opponent. nobody will buy these gloves as they heaviest pair is 12oz and they cost about 190 quid. anyways, i've never heard of a competition that doesn't require you to get the gloves there. so lads, get some winning 14 oz trainers for your bagwork and sparring.

Hey champ. Have you had a chance to try out the Sting pads/mitts? They're only around £50 and I've been hearing a lot of buzz around Sting lately (pun intended) 😂🤦♂️😅

Whats the difference in a aiba glove and a normal imf glove besides doubling the price?
@Fit2Box5 жыл бұрын
I get your point but one can be used in contests due to the aiba stamp and one can’t be used in bouts So clubs do have to buy the aiba approved for fights All brands do the same Tbf

If you live in the USA and compete in USA BOXING you are REQUIRED to wear gloves that the event organizer provides to avoid any cheating

Do aiba competition gloves reduce impact? = les power?
@Fit2Box3 жыл бұрын
Aiba gloves are thickly padded in the knuckle area Amateur boxing is more about safety and point scoring The punch surface is rounder You can still get a good impact with an amateur glove enough to knockout someone But pro gloves are more thinly padded and a flatter punch surface Professional gloves are about causing damage to the opponent as well as protection for the hands
