Does this watch track calories burned for stuff like walking on a treadmill where I hold the supports for most the time, or for burpees and pushups?
@GamerBody
@GamerBody 3 жыл бұрын
Yes and no. It tracks workouts in general but NO fitness tracker is very accurate with calorie burning. I'd cut whatever it gives you in half. For example, with my regular workouts that last an hour, it says I burn 500+ calories. Not a chance. I probably burn somewhere between 200-250 on that hour. I use it more just to see if I'm active in a day, but sleep patters, and heart rate. Otherwise the tracking will overestimate the burn.

It's good that it doesn't have full music support. All devices that I have - Garmin 645 Music, Vivoactive 3 Music, Amazfit Pace - all have issues with sound stuttering on open areas like stadium, but indoors seems to be working fine. One device that doesn't have such issue - it was an Apple Watch S3, but works normally only with AirPods :)

Bought mine a week ago and got it 5 days later. I plugged it in and set it up, everything was working fine. I let it sit on the charger for a few hours to finish charging and when I went to put it on it's completely unresponsive. Doesn't sync, doesn't vibrate when plugged in or when the button's touched, absolutely nothing. Contacted customer service and had to have my case sent to another department that still has yet to contact me (3 days later). Was supposed to be an upgrade from my Alta HR before band camp but now I'm just kinda heartbroken💔 This was a good review and I'm hoping I get to experience this watch without any more troubles...😓

Thanks for the review. Also, you can’t really complain about something when it performed how it was supposed to (Spotify connection). FitBit never claimed to be able to do what you wanted it to do. Bad research is to blame. Also, I have heard the same on the GPS accuracy as you found.

Feb 2022 - This device is now discontinued with replacement of the Charge 5. I have just gotten the Charge 5 and for the sale price of 119 dollars and what it does, I really like it. Being my first tracker, I take the reading stats with a grain of salt, so i am not that fussy. I like it for normal daily activities, step counting, heart rates, and periodic Oxygen levels. It may not be for everyone, but I like it plus using the app on my mobile phone. I dont need music, calendar, weather, etc on a health device- i have other devices for that. take care.

This has nothing to do with the video, but as a gamer I imagine you spend a lot of time sitting, maybe not in the best posture ever. Something that tends to come with this is APT and rounded shoulders, do you or have you experienced this before? I know you are a fan of band pull aparts from other videos I have watched but are there any other corrective exercises you would recommend? If so and it isn’t a super quick answer, I know I am looking for a solution to these and would definitely be be interested in a video about this topic, so if you need ideas, I know I would and think lots of other subscribers would be interested in a video like this to change things up a little bit. Keep going with these videos, one thing that keeps me coming back is how interactive you are with your community. Almost to 4K 👍👏
@GamerBody
@GamerBody 4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the thought and I suffered pretty badly for years with forward rounded shoulders. While not perfect yet, I have reduced it immensely with a greater focus on just building my back. Also, it seems to have greatly improved once I moved to a full-body workout which is weird. I don't think that should really matter, but it could be that the other splits were driving too much chest development as I made those harder than my back exercises which overdeveloped the chest. I will definitely be making more videos geared towards that type of content and thanks for the suggestion!

You should read/listen to reviews before you buy. Clearly says no Spotify. Also, there's a big difference between and running and walking stride length, so there should be a difference in distance...Right??
@GamerBody
@GamerBody 3 жыл бұрын
Yes I misunderstood the spotify but the function of it is lame regardless. And for distance, it should be the same distance if you go the same path. Stride length won't change a distance, it would just mean it takes more/less steps to go that distance depending on how you are comparing them.

How well does it estimate the bmr through the day? Do you know the margin of error it has? Thanks!
@GamerBody
@GamerBody 3 жыл бұрын
I don't know the margin of error and I wouldn't trust it very much. I'd focus more on developing habits and seeing where you gain fat vs lose it. This can take some time and tweaking, and remember that your BMR changes based on your size and muscle mass. Unfortunately it isn't easy to determine what it is.

Did you buy it from someone directly? No way a retail store would sell this for that cheap.

Different watches. The Fitbit is pretty basic in design where the other ones are actual smart watches.

No. It will track steps without it on.

Darn that's 13 minutes of my life I'll never get back. You talked so much and at the end of your review I didn't really know what to think about the product to be honest. I still have so many questions. Then I stuck it out and watched the whole thing only due to the fact that you did not disclose the most vital information until the final end at 12 minute mark which washow accurate was the GPS. Like and yea the Spotify thing sucks bro I totally feel that to, however! The company never made the claim that you expected! But you smashed them with a bad rating because you can't read.

What? I like the Fitbit Charge 4...there were some annoyances and I now have the Charge 5 which is a great improvement overall. Thanks for the constructive comment though. I'll take it into account.

It's actually rather good. Maybe slightly bulky but I enjoyed it over most trackers I've used in the past and I love the look off it.

GamerBody I had it. It worked fine but it definitely wins the award for ugliest fitness tracker/smart watch design. Lol

I don’t advice Fitbit to anybody because what they do is make you purchase a premium account otherwise your Fitbit wont have a sleep monitor at all, and for a crazy price it is very disappointing to say the least
@GamerBody
@GamerBody 4 жыл бұрын
That's not true. You still get a sleep score every night for free. I don't have premium and don't want it but my Fitbit Charge 4 still provides how long I slept and a score of that sleep.

My fitbit inspire that I currently use has a sleep monitor on it and I don't have premium :)
@ConnieLitrenta

I disagree completely. All Fitbits monitor sleep and give you quite a bit of info doing so. There is a premium service that gives you even more in depth info but you do not need it to benefit from the sleep data it does give you
