It is meant to strengthen your abs. The only way to flatten your stomach is a calorie deficit to burn body fat.

I just bought some and yes Ibwated your review first. I did push ups before with regular bars and the floor as well avout 50 every other day. I can tell you when i get on these I do shake a bit because you have to work to keep them stable in one place. I find that it makes pushuos a bit hard and my core works a bit more as well ad my fore arms and that is a good thing.

It may just be that you haven't develop the skill of this movement yet. It won't take long to learn it and be fine doing the exercise, just make sure you work on the movement 1st before trying anything fancy or adding more resistance.

Will this thing crash my door? I used to have a pull up bar that hang onto my door frame and crash it. I dont want to screw anything into my doors also
@GamerBody
@GamerBody Күн бұрын
Do you mean fall off your door? It could if you put too much weight on it, or don't secure it properly. For me, it has been surprisingly stable. Please watch out for putting too much pressure on the frame though as it can create the seem cracks as mentioned in the video. I also use the Crossgrips, but if you already had your frame fall off from that, you might want to avoid it.

These look like the Sunpow bands. I snapped the largest of them during standing overhead press forcing me to reevaluate the bands and the exercise. I think if I moved to kneeling OHP it wouldn't snap them, but I was annoyed and moved to the Serious Steel Bands (a lot more expensive, but held up in a 3 month test I just finished). A small amount of grease will prevent the threads from locking up. I have the original and my only complaint were the hooks. I didn't think they rotated smoothly enough. I did some work on them to remedy that and now mine rotate very smoothly. The new hooks look like much better quality from what I saw in your video. Clench has a new light weight bar. It's not $70 but still less than x3 and Harambe and the quality looks to be amazing utilizing real bearings and their carabiners.

Can you perform barbell cleans?
@GamerBody
@GamerBody 8 күн бұрын
I don't perform that exercise, but you could. However, you wouldn't get the same feeling as the tension pulling down is different than how gravity acts with a free weight for that particular exercise. With the clean, once you get it moving through space, your muscles relax before you "catch" the bar again. With the Speediance, it is a constant pull (based on the setting you use) so the section where the bar moves through space wouldn't feel the same - it would be harder. Just my 2 cents on the exercise for this type of resistance.

Not yet, but I did buy the "other" version you can buy on the website and when I got to the green+ bands for Serious Steel, they bent. I may make video on that. Can you do a squat & split squat video using the resistance band hooks/loops at the bottom of the new & improved Bullbar 2.0? If possible can you also include the GEKU bamboo platform and your “The Step” aerobics platform to see which one will fit better in between the resistance band hooks? Nice breakdown. I love how you grouped things for easy digestion of costs for minimum setup and then adding in things. One thing.... I do have the Undersun Resistance bands, which do show the wear signs that you indicated in another video. They have been solid for me so far, but if and when they break, I will look into the Serious Steel resistance bands. I did see a video you did years ago in which one of the Undersun bands broke and they sent you a replacement. Seems like the quality and customer service are not what they used to be.

Yeah, unfortunately I won't be using UnderSun anymore. I loved the old bands, but I can't support the current product as is. Who knows, maybe they will change back to the product/service they had back in 2020, then I might look at them again. I am potentially looking at Sunpow again though as a cheaper option and because it was a potential fluke that the band snapped during standing OHP. I know do Kneeling OHP anyways, so that might fix that problem. At the time it was annoying, but I may have jumped the gun a bit on it.

The problem with drinking that much water is that you can throw off your bodies electrolytes, you should add those in at least once a day. I drink at least 8 cups of water a day, but first thing in the morning, add electrolyte powder to my water.

It won't be that big an issue. You could also add a bit of salt to your water and you'd be fine. Your electrolytes won't be that affected drinking 8 cups of water a day if you are eating a standard diet and aren't sweating it all out doing tons of workouts/cardio.

@GamerBody
@GamerBody 19 күн бұрын
I haven't used this bench with the Speediance, just the one they provided. Some things might work, but because this bench has a fixed seat and back rest position, it might not work well for things like seated overhead press. The adjustable bench Speediance offers has the seat slide back and forth so that the cables are located below the seat no matter where the angle of the backrest is set. I do have some concerns on that bench, but otherwise, I just go with the flat bench and sometimes angle it slightly by moving one of the feet off the end.

Regular pushups on a floor hurt my wrists. I had surgery and my right wrist bends but is limited and hurts on a floor pushup. But I can use this. I think the spinning could be smoother, and it is still plasticy in feel, so higher quality even if I paid more would be preferred, but this is good for pushups. I also can go deeper since the handles are elevated above the ground, I can extend my pushup even lower than a normal floor pushup.

Why do you always sell overpriced items? If the resistance bands are 119 US dollars, why not just buy a gym membership card or a set of adjustable dumbbells? Any resistance band set that is over 30 US dollars is considered as robbery.
@GamerBody
@GamerBody 20 күн бұрын
Quality. I'd easily spend more than the total price of a gym with the membership cost, traveling, and wasting time waiting for equipment. With twins, getting the time to travel to a gym near me would make it very hard to get there as I also work a normal 9-5. I went to a gym for 3 years when I started, and I'd gladly pay for the $120 bands over going back to a gym for the above reasons. If you like the gym more, and/or have one close by though, I dont have any issues with you going, it is just why I don't right now. I've also tried cheaper alternatives, and they are not as good. The closest was the SunPow resistance bands which I like for a long time, but after a recent repurchase of them, they snapped 3 months in. That isn't acceptable to me. There are others, but I'd rather take my changes with the brand many others feel are great then keep buying and risking snapping early in the bands life. The community also voted on Serious Steel as the bands I test and use in the community, so just another factor why I use them in my current build.
