Thank you for this. I've been debating whether to upgrade my Charge 2 for a newer Charge 4 (assuming the sensors are about the same as the Luxe). I've wanted to know if the extra stuff would show up in the app without paying for Premium. All the other videos I've watched never mentioned any of this.

Great video. I have had my Luxe for a week, and I like it a lot so far. Best things are super lightweight and amazing battery life. Worst things are the tiny screen and limited selection of clock faces. I’m happy with it, but I would only recommend it to someone who wanted a legit minimalist tracker.

Thank you for the helpful video! I'm wondering if its charging contacts are better than previous ones? My Inspire HR's charging contacts are corroded due to salty sweat, can you show or compare the charging contacts of different fitbits? Thanks!

I don’t think the charging contacts are any “better”. I would highly recommend cleaning your Fitbit with water and a soap-free cleanser (I use Cetaphil) after workouts when you sweat. I do this and have never had a problem with any Fitbit (though your experience might be different).

Hi, thanks for the video. The gorjana band is very tight on one setting and hands down on the next setting. Do you know how tight it would need to be in order to record properly?

I'm not sure exactly how tight, but I would guess if it falls down your wrist without you moving it, it might not be tight enough to record properly. Did you know there are two different sizes of the removable links? You might just need to try a different combination. Just bought myself one of these. Looking forward to it. This is a very in depth video. I agree with you about the clock faces and being able to see the day of the week and number of the month as well as heart rate stat and not having enough options to choose from with all of the information so I’ll probably end up using the same one but maybe there will be more in the future with updates. Fitbit sucks at updating their current products. Historically their solution is to just release a new device. Bad for us and best for them. 😢. I wouldn’t expect things like lack of customization to change with any Fitbit device. 😅

So I’m trying to determine which Fitbit device is more advance? Luxe seems like a more polished and updated inspire 2. Is the Charge 4 any different

Luxe is definitely an updated and more premium Inspire 2. Charge 4 is still more advanced in terms of features (altimeter, built-in gps, Fitbit pay, music control), but it has a worse display and older user interface. I’ll do a full comparison at some point, but hopefully that helps some.

Don’t manually start sleep. Fitbit can automatically track your sleep.

Same. I received my luxe yesterday, wore it to bed. No score, no analysis of rem sleep and such. Just restful, awake chart. No clue how to fix.

How is the display in the bright sun?

It doesn’t get as bright as a smartphone, but it is much easier to read in the sun than any other Fitbit fitness tracker as long as you have it set to the “Max” brightness setting.

Nope. I found that out about a month in. I’m having trouble with getting two features to work; my charger is supposed to have a button on the USB end. It doesn’t , so doing a kind hard reset isn’t possible.

How much is the band alone? I did not see a price. I have a Fitbit Inspire 2 I think. The band would not bend close enough as my wrist is very small. The piece attached to the face split the rubber connection part. Would this work with that watch? I loved wearing my Fitbit but didn't really understand all the features it had.

I have difficulties with "luxury" and the smart band watches, i have a MK accès with crystal band but it looks pretty slick in the club when you're like wearing you're smoothing Diamond watch glittering with the 60+ customizable watchfaces .....but I'm more happy with my rubber band, i cracked the screen tho....But Bassicly you need to downgrade it.....witch makes you wonder why you don't buy a watch tech brand ....... I mean it's to techy and to mutch the computer and the bling togehterh and becomes far to heavy, same mistake so watchmakers make when they go to heavy watch designed. They start with a band and end up with some weird tech leather band Rolex....but don't go to the diamond pathek Bassicly because they know.....so why do they then first go? They lose the colors and the happiness and freedom it should bring or some sort

I just ordered it and should receive it Tuesday. :) My Charge 2 hardly cooperates with the FitBit app anymore, so why not. I only need this to track my sleep while my Apple Watch charges at night, so its limitations in terms of clock faces and screen size are fine for what I need it for!

If you want to upgrade from charge 2, better to get charge 5 over luxe. The screen will be too small to see in luxe. I hardly see the battery percentage from the tracker.

Hi, I just bought one yesterday and I don´t see the sleeping features, sleep stages, sleep oxygen variation etc. without the premium version. Do you think that since Jun 2021 when you created the video, they changed this? I see very basic information on the sleeping section.

When I got the newest Fitbit and created a new account in fall 2021, I had to try the premium trial to get the health metrics tile. But I had no issue getting sleep stages and the estimated oxygen variation graph. Can you verify the heart rate sensor is working? Sleep stages requires heart rate and the blood oxygen is another sensor that lights up with the heart rate monitor. That would be my first check for troubleshooting.

Sense, Versa 3, or Charge 5; for me Charge 5 has the slight edge, but your experience may be different.

If you swipe up from the clock face and then swipe again, as long as your have reminders to move enabled, it will show how many steps you have toward your hourly goal of 250 steps (it counts up from 0, and once you hit 250, it just tells you how many hours you reached the 250 step goal).

Are you referring to GPS or steps? If steps, then if you aren’t moving your arms, it shouldn’t count too many extra steps if you are on a train or bus (though the algorithm isn’t perfect, so don’t expect zero steps when you aren’t walking). Some people find that steps are counted when they are driving (most likely because you are turning the steering wheel so there is some arm motion). You can manually input when you are driving as a manual “exercise” log and then it will subtract any steps recorded during that time period. Same should work if you want to log when you are on a train or bus, but I didn’t have any issues with significant extra steps when I rode the commuter train to work 30-min each way. Some people complain that they don’t get steps recorded if they are pushing a stroller or shopping cart.
