This is the ONLY thing that has helped me connect my Fitbit to my phone. It was turning off the battery optimization that worked for me. I had to follow your steps and turn it off manually. As soon as I did, I was able to connect. Thank you

Watch is terrible. This was just one of the issues I had with the Versa 3. I returned the first one thinking it was just a one off. That was not the case unfortunately. The second one has many of the same issues. Not worth the buy. Versa 3 is a mess. I might try the versa 2, maybe all the bugs are gone on that version.

Thank you. I had to do a factory reset as all else had failed including chatting with Fitbit Help guys. Hope this works. I've had a blaze for over 4 years, except for a loose bezel . Hope Sense lives up to all the hype! Cheers from Colombo, Sri Lanka

I think the factory resetting will be the easier way to fix the problems, I have a problem with my Versa 2, today I finally fixed it sync with my cellphone, the problem was I had it connected to the ARIA scale and once I delete the scale, it could be sync. But now the problem I have is that it can not be sync with my WW app, before March 15th I had it sync with WW and all my activity was transferred automatically from my Versa to WW (weight watchers) app, When I open my WW app it says: it can't be sync with the Fitbit, it says you have to make sure the FitBit app has the latest data. I have checked in play store and there is not an updated, I remove it and I download it to my cel and nothing :( Sorry for my English, it is my second language :)

Went from one advice to another without any success until I found your video. Thank you for taking the stress away. Restarted both watch and phone, removed versa 3 from Bluetooth settings on phone (as you advised). Placed watch into pairing and got phone to search devices . Versa 3 popped up on phone, and requested authorisation to pair and BOOM, connected.

We have in tunisia only three models of fitbit: versa, varsa 2 and charge 3. which one of them would you advise me to buy for sleep trucking only. I will use my sumsung all daylong and the fitbit only for sleep but I have read that versa 2 becomes useless after a few months of owning it has many issues concerning sync and it gives up sleep tracking after a short period. Thought that my fitbit sense automatically would change to correct time when we in New York went to E.S.T. BUT it did not. My watch changed automatically when it was daylight saving time. I guess you need android 9 or a higher version to run it. Mine is version 9 and I tried all possible ways to sign up. It still shows 'Fitbit is down for maintenance'. No better choice than returning the product. I tried -reinstalling it -Force stopped and cleared the cache -Restarted the phone. Nothing worked till now TBH. Could you please confirm about the android version?

The problem with my Fitbit Versa 3 is VERY frustrating. It's synced and records step count accurately on my device and in the Fitbit app. My device will say 10,000 steps and the app will say 10,000 steps. That works. However, hourly reminders only work part of the time. And hourly activity does not sync to the app most of the time. So, while my device says 10 hour active, the Fitbit app says only 4 hours active. I returned the device and got a new one, same thing. The hourly reminder that only works part time and the hourly activity are two of my favorite things, and they half the time do not work right. Again, VERY frustrating. I previously had the Ionic, which worked perfectly and never had an issue.

Now I know why the Versa 3 is currently $100 off, because no one is buying it..lol... This syncing problem is all over the internet and Fitbit doesn't seem to care. My Android and Versa 3 finally resynched (albeit very slowly and after a long time searching) after a handful of restarts of the app, BT, and the devices. When it snyched this morning it said the Versa battery was low. Could that have been the root of the issue?

Hi, yes, sometimes technology can be frustrating. But even with syncing issues, it usually just comes down to restarting your watch and device or checking for a software or firmware update. Sometimes it might stop syncing because of updates that have been done to the OS on your phone, tablet or other reasons beyond just the watch / tracker itself so that's not always the cause of the problem. Just a rubbish product unfortunately. Both me and my partner's fitbits stopped synching, won't pair and won't respond to any of the suggestions here. For expensive products it's really annoying. Make a product that's reliable.

I agree. I bought my fitbit versa 3 and now I regret it. Id rather get the samsung galaxy watch or garmin.
