@laxjoh5 жыл бұрын
Same here but the yogurt probably is cheaper. I think you need 2 avocados for this meal prep for a week and without putting in lemon peels in the container, the avocado turns dark pretty fast. So if you do plan on using avocado, keep a lemon piece in there. I think using onion also works but never tried it myself.

Do you keep your meals frozen and then thaw them night before or do u keep them all in the fridge
@LightOSolid3 жыл бұрын
@@LostTheMortgage What I do is keep a few (like one to three) meals in the fridge and the rest to the freezer. Once I go through all the meals in the fridge, I just microwave straight from the freezer. My process microwaving from freezer is usually microwave for 3~ minutes, stir the meal around, then another 3~ minutes, and repeat in less increments until I'm happy with the heat. When microwaving from the fridge, it's usually 2 to 3 minutes then stir, and a quick 60~ second blast to make sure I didn't leave any parts out. Of course, times may vary in your microwave, but the meals are already cooked, so all you're trying to do is reheat it for enjoyment.

Hey Mate !! We always leave the directions in the description. We should do a video cos so many ask about it. But in a nutshell... Take it out of the freezer the day before you are going to eat it. @@antiquarian1773 Freeze the remaining ones day 5, for food handling safety. You'll also want to overlap...like do 2 or more dif meals to switch up your meals. Who wants to eat the same thing for 7 days?
@t.a.b.83764 жыл бұрын
These meals will stay perfectly fresh for 7 days in the fridge. I use pyrex glass bowls. If you don't eat them all in 7 days pitch them. I've been doing this before these guys were even born. This is basically a dinner meal for one day. It contains between 600 and 700 calories.
@staceykersting7054 жыл бұрын
@@t.a.b.8376 Yes, my mom always said food was good for a week. More recent food safety guidelines recommend 5 days. I can't imagine eating the same lunch 5 days in a row, so I'd prepare 2-3 dif options and rely on freezing some.

im guessing you would put 3 in the fridge for 3 days and the rest in the freezer. put them out to defrost the night before your gonna eat them.

@ericnikc3235 жыл бұрын

@gummiworm4 жыл бұрын
@@98djmiller I doubt you would have to thaw the frozen ones since it's not raw and defrosting is mainly so raw meat cooks evenly. Pretty much like nuking a frozen dinner in a box.

You inspired me to eat some raw broccoli while I was making this! It turned out fantastic. Only thing I messed up was I lost track of time on the broccoli and boiled it too long so it came out a little mushy. I hope to be able to do this in an hour. It took me three-four hours and I had to go back to the grocery store because I forgot the lemon! 😂 Thank you so much for making this video! I enjoyed it immensely! 👍
@nicholastoo8584 жыл бұрын
You need a steamer. That way, you’ll not have to pour water with all that broccoli goodness away. A steamer has two levels, the first level is the water, then a level that lets the steam thro, where your vegetables sit. The veggies don’t enter the water. You could use that thing that you used to prevent oil splashes, just need to find something big to cover and trap the steam.
