Great video! I have installed a few of the Holley Sniper kits and tried troubleshooting FiTech kits with similar results (and the same solution!) to what you have shown in your video. Aside from the known issues regarding noise/EMF with the Sniper 1 on one car, and fighting with the stupid CAN connectors, I have had very good results. I am pleased that Holley has listened to their feedback and improved the Sniper 2.

Thank you! I know it’s a shame. I was super excited to put the FiTech on my truck. There is no way I would ever buy a product from them again.

I installed my FiTech 2 years ago and It's been great. I had no issues. My car starts right up in the winter and on a hot summer day. I bracket raced this past year 11 times and several Test & Tunes, it accelerates smooth and I've been having it lots of fun.

Awesome video Thank you for the shout out and again sorry to hear about the tragic fire in the truck. We all know you will build it back better than it was

Good video, I experience not so good results also and went back to Carb but… I removed the ECU from the unit and mounted it under the hood, left all the input sensors connected including the TPS(made a bracket to carb). Now I can data log and change jets as needed. Just didn’t want to throw it all away since I spent so much money on it. I subbed too by the way 😊

I installed Fitech back in 2017 and it has worked terrific ever since. Well, I did 4 things to make it work. 1. I installed GM Tachometer filter anticipating a noisy tach signal, that's the SN20. 2. Every fuel line fitting was loose & needed extra tightening. 3. Throttle body was loose on the manifold due to 0.25" thick gasket from Summit (the throttle body was shifting position due to not being tight enough). 4. Once I got the fuel line fittings tight, it took several fuel pump cycles before the fumes were washed out of the gas lines. AFTER ALL OF THAT: starts up in any temperature and NO choke, I don't have to baby the throttle, I can just hop in, crank it, and let it warm up while I scrape the frost etc. This is an old (1987) Dodge 318 with Edelbrock RPM and lumpy cam, Dodge fixed position distributor (100% of the advance curve comes from the Fitech). MARVELOUS technology. It cost $995 for the 600hp basic kit plus another $245 for inline fuel delivery and $55 for return line, but I did get a $100 holiday rebate because I bought it before Christmas 2016. I kinda wish I had paid a little more for the boost version (have thought about a pro-charger upgrade). On the other hand, this thing works just fine, I'm not disappointed whatsoever.

Useful video much appreciated. What you've shared helped me choose the best system for my C10 project. One thing and please don't take it wrong I mean this as constructive criticism. Having a video screen in the background made viewing difficult. It may just be me but it was incredibly distracting. Old machinist, anti-seize is our friend.

'63 Ford KEY: Crank position Run position Crank and run: The electric fuel pump cycles with key on to build pressure. When you crank and get ignition spark pulses the fuel pump runs, anytime there are ignition pulses. If the ignition fails the computer shuts the pump off so it doesnt flood or feed a fire if the engine locks up/stops turning. By hooking the crank/run feed wire to the fuel pump relay output going TO the pump, you get a constant crank/run signal to the computer. No extra switches needed. Simple. Has worked for me 30 yrs. 👍 **** Second note. Did an MSD 8 yrs ago... Nope. Did a Sniper 18 months ago had problems. Talked with Holley. Replaced a couple things. Nope. Sent back to Holley and they sent a 100% new system... Worked perfect. Great people to work with.👍👍 Sniper ONLY.

@@FamilysGarage I'm at the point I will not even consider any aftermarket EFI system. OEM or carb.

I bought a Fitech 1200 before Holley even had a sniper in 2014-15ish. I put it on and haven't had any problems in 10 years of driving it. It's a Procharged SBC 400. I drive it to the track and make about 1000 hp on 93 octane and water/methanol injection. It was so easy to set up. Just set my targets and drive to let it learn. Fitech has been good for me. In your opinion, what do you think was wrong with your fitech?

I tried the FiTech dual quad on a 495 big block. Nothing but trouble, took me 6 months to get it running right and even then, was not consistent. Ditched it in the end, went back to dual quad carbs and feng shei returned to my life.
