Hi Sarah! I did the CWT 2 weeks after you, I'm loving all the memories watching this is bringing me! Interestingly I wore my 1000 mile double layer socks almost all the way and loved them! I turned right after the falls of Glomach and stayed at Maol Bhuidhe bothy that night (was a long day) and to be honest, that part of the walk was a bit depressing, it's very clear the land is being kept for stalking, there wasn't much in the way of wildlife or flora except for heather. After the bothy it got better but didn't look that different to what you walked though... aside from a wee loch with a sandy beach!

@@FitforAdventure I feel more excited about attempting it than anything else in quite a long time. My plan is to do the South Downs Way (close to home) in March as a gear shakedown, then the West highland way in April/May and the CWT in the Autumn. Although I did 15 miles today with only a 10kg bag and now everything hurts!

Sarah, what a lovely, funny, inspirational lady you are. Love your channel, you go from strength to strength, so entertaining and informative. Taking on such a hike is no mean fete and it says volumes of your character, you’re always smiling, happy and funny, shrugging off the dire weather conditions, and just get on with it. Your log dance from a previous video was just epic, so so funny, you brighten people’s day. The deer stalkers hut you stayed in I think featured in a video by Stephen Pern if I’m not wrong. In his video ‘Hooks’ he set off from his home in Hastings and walked to every Bothy and put up hooks and screws so hikers could hang there kit up to dry! Worth a watch. Look forward to your next video, thank you for sharing, all the best.😊👍
