Delphi 670 / 680 Steering Gearbox Rebuild Overview

Note this is very similar to the Saginaw steering gearbox style, however, valve housing is not adjustable so it's EASIER yet which I like! Look at bottom of description for complete list of trucks that may have this style gearbox.
I went for a steering alignment and they told me they couldn't center my steering wheel. The tech recommended a new steering gearbox. I did some searching and people said you can adjust the slack in the wheel with adjustment nut on top of the gearbox. I tried that but never had any luck. I even adjusted it too tight (putting wear on piston teeth). It still didn't fix it.
So I opted to buy a box at the junkyard, tear it down, and see if I could rebuild it myself. The kits are $50 max to rebuild these (minus two needle bearings which I couldn't find for sale). What could go wrong?
Well I broke a couple seals in the kit. I also bought one entirely wrong kit! However, even so it was SUPER simple to rebuild. I don't want you to make the same mistakes I did so I decided to record me rebuilding a second gearbox.
Turns out there's two styles of gearbox the 680 and it's smaller brother the 670. They are virtually identical, except piston is larger on the 680. Turns out I bought the 670 at the junkyard not knowing my truck was equipped with the 680. Rather than downgrade I rebuild the second gearbox.
I decided on second go around to film this for you.

These gearboxes are on C/K chassis platform with 3rd gen small block / LS platform starting in 1999. Basically the GMT800 / New Body Style (NBS) chassis trucks.
Model Years: 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 more?
Truck Models: Silverado, Sierra, Denali, Avalanche, Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon, Express Van, more? Trailblazer?
