Just go for a aggressive street port. You'll only lose horsepower on a half-bridge. Adaptronic has a plug and play ready for your vehicle. Vent hood for TEMP and relocate the battery and ecu to cabin. Use Revision-C OEM Mazda Coil Packs.

7:21 the 6-port engines from 2007 and later made over 200 HP, but not by much. My 2011 is supposed to make 230-260 factory, but it feels more like 210.

Although I haven't driven the car yet it has been my dream car for a while and hearing people speak highly of the RX8 gives me hope and smiles knowing I will own one eventually. @@dom3136 I've had the car for 6 months now and its been fine for me. Other than gas being expensive ( you have to run premium) and constantly checking the oil to make sure it has some lol. My brakes and clutch went out in the same month as well and that was kinda expensive too, but that's more of an old age thing. And I flooded the car once and I haven't done it since. I havent had any problems with the engine yet. I have a series 1, 2004 grand touring. Heated seats, sunroof/moon roof (I forgot the other features) I plan on building mine mainly for cosmetics, wing, new front bumper, liverys, wheels, etc. Yeah, it probably wasn't the smartest choice to have this car as a daily tho 😆 but I love it ❤️ my whole family told me to get anything but the RX8. I originally wanted a 2010 Camaro SS. If you want info about RX8s the best place to go is the RX8 forums. They have everything you need to know about em. 😁 Like series 1 vs series 2, The difference in trim levels, engine maintenance, etc

@@Lnxythewolf To be quite Frank when I think I got a interesting idea for the RX8 I check the forums to see if anyone has done it and I check the forums overall every now and again. I can understand why your whole family said not to get it 😂, but tbf I love unloved cars for some reason. Before my dream was an R33 GTR or RX7 FD or FC, then I realised if I was to get those cars parts would be hella expensive. So I wanted to start off with rx8 as a platform to learn, but now I want it more than ever and I got something planned that I hope will make the car not only fast but iconic. Only time will tell.

Got mine for 2500 with a few issues, but it was rough, still is a little lol. They aren't bad daily's if you have the extra money to spend on gas and premix. I know some that have been absolute basket cases but they aren't very common. Do some research on the rx8 forums and you'll know if you gotten have it.

Keep the renasis, but supercharge it with water methanol induction. Youll have no issues. The more linear boost curve helps keep things happy and the watermeth induction is an added layer of protection. I looked in to having defined auto do an rew swapp and it would have been stupid expensive and taken forever.

I got a 2010 for $5300. About 87k miles, r title and will need a new rear bumper and tail lights which isnt too bad considering it was a Florida car that just so happened to find it's way up north and it has practically no rust on the under side. The rear bumper isnt that big of a deal since I will be looking at doing an S1 rear bumper on it even though it will take some time to trim away for the tail lights and then the tail lights I might be a little over 1k deep in them depending on how I actually get them. Also planning on an S1 front end swap too. I have my work cut out for me but there wont be another S2 like it around when I'm done with it.

If you want your build to last in the engine department and stay a rotary please swap to a 09-12 revision engine. If you boost that engine you will score up the irons due to the 2 port oil delivery not being able to keep up. They went back to a more reliable 3 port set up for the rotors like on the FD3S in the 09 RX-8. Yes this means you will need a complete swap but it will be worth it in the end if you want reliable as far as rotaries go and decent power. Otherwise I highly suggest you give Angel Motorsports here in VA a call to help you get the most out of your RX-8. Famous local shop near where I live that my friend takes his FD3S to.

Rx8s are good as dailys, if you dont care about constantly filling up. I daily mine. But its just fun. Cruise control helps you stay at the 20mpg more often on the highway. Anyone looking to get one should drive it and do a hot start. This tells you a lot of what you need to know. Ask for compression numbers or do a test. If you cant or they dont let you, walk away. Pay more for a good solid running one Or buy a cheap not running and replace the engine. 6speed is the one you want. Avoid autos if you can.👍

You can daily an Rx8 but it’s expensive premium gas isn’t cheap and you have to consistently add oil and premix but we all know that gas runs through these cars very quickly tho so it depends on how much you have to spend on something like that

Don't bridge port the renesis. Its not a good way to accomplish anything. Polish the ports to help prevent carbon build up. And look out for a short shifter, they are getting more rare.

There is really no point in a bridge port. In the 80’s and 90’s it offered a big gain to do a bridge port. With the renesis it actually does a worse job at clearing carbon because it’s not burning it as efficiently. The best is to do an in between port.
