Dr. Daniel P. Brown is an Associate Clinical Professor of Psychology at Harvard Medical School and Senior Meditation Master in Indo-Tibetan Bon & Buddhism, having been given secret practices directly from the Dalai Lama and teaching for nearly 50 years. The Tibetans have in fact asked him to translate several sacred texts on meditation.
Dr. Brown is also a world-renowned forensic law & western psychology expert, a peak performance coach to CEOs, a hypnotherapist of 40 years, and the author of at least 15 books on meditation and psychology, including Pointing Out the Great Way.
Topics in this episode include the neurocircuitry of performance excellence and flow states, Tibetan maps to awakening, the first brain scans on people with this level of attainment, training a mind devoid of all negative mental states, true "Inner Fire" or Tummo breathing practice, supernatural abilities of the mind, and common mistakes that westerners are making in their meditation practices.

Hey everyone, please understand that Dan has Parkinson's, and so his speech is remarkably clear in light of this fact. His mind still works beautifully, as you'll see, and I hope you find benefit in these wise teachings. If you'd like to help Dan battle his health conditions, please see: gofundme.com/f/gone-way-way-beyond

Interesting topics discussed during this interview.. the paranormal abilities of the patanjali yoga sutras and the bioenergy of relics. In my visit to Tibet (at least, in Lhasa) I was shocked how Westernized and political it was - Tibetan ways are suppressed by the Chinese government and Tibetans aren't even allowed passports. I can understand why Tibetans would give Brown secret teachings to translate. Thanks for sharing this interview.

He asked several times and tried. I think Dan wants people to find it in their own path.

If you’re bothering to ask questions like that you’ve got a long way to go my friend. We’re aiming for enlightenment, a feat harder than becoming a billionaire. Think about what that means. Trust in your training, your spirit will get there when you’re ready .
