After we picked up our guests from the airport we drove to the retreat and started with some stretching. I find this really helpful after a long trip, it's important to reset the body to homeostasis.
We walked down to the coast to see the sunset and finished the day with a delicious homemade meal.
The next day we visited the Monte Palace Garden and stayed in Funchal, the capital of Madeira where we tried the local food and drinks.
We spent the following day addressing injuries and other issues with personal training and seminars. After a full body assessment, I expanded basic mobility exercises to work around overused muscles and we came up with a customized training regime to avoid future problems.
For the rest of the retreat, we discovered the island's beauties and made sure we did our daily mobility routine paired with good nutrition.
