I have a mind trick for routines with multi-exercise HIIT groups. The first time through, make a mental note of the 'easier' exercises in the group, ex. jumping jacks, side lunges. Then, when you repeat the groups, only worry about the tough exercises, ex. burpees, star jumps. The others are your easy, recovery exercises. This trick makes the groups seem less intimidating. This was still a rough routine, but break it down the sets, modify the exercises when you need to and you can push through!

Absolutely. So for me it's burpees and jumping lunges in set 1, then only really mountain climbers in set 2, by set 3 I was struggling, but the push up knee ups were the real killers to me.

Indeed that is the whole point of hiit. Strenuous exercise with less strenuous in between for recovery. Just enough stress on your body to keep your heart rate up. Hiit is my favorite kind of workout. Thumbs way up! 😁

This is hands down the toughest, most brutal workout I have done in my entire life. And i have been doing hiits by Caroline and Anna for quite some time, but this...this workout is insane. It really tests my willpower to do the exercises twice then repeat the circuits thrice but my body feels so great after it that i keep coming back to it. I have mad respect for anyone who made it through this torture regime.

I have been doing this 2x week for a month, but I am still mad at Daniel for forgetting those star jumps every single time I did this workout.. Last year during summer, I lost 11 kg in 3 months by doing fitness blender videos.. I gained back 6 kg because of unhealthy food choices, thesis writing and stress in my last year in college. Now I am stuck at this quarantine only waiting for graduation.. So I am back here.. Been exercising for almost two months and I already lost 4 kg :) I have plenty of time to do things for myself. Still praying for everyone to endure and survive this pandemic. Thank you fitness blender for always providing the best free workouts in youtube.

Hi Daniel and Kelli, thanks for this challenging and goal-setting workout. When I started Fitnessblender in June 2015, I could barely do 20 seconds of jumping jacks. Now, thanks to your gradation and pacing of workouts, jumping jacks seem by far the easiest exercise to do - I now see them as "recovery" time mostly :-) I had to pause a lot to complete this workout, and still can't do some of the exercises as well as I would like, but it's a remarkable improvement from where I was just eight months ago. I take a lot less time to catch my breath back between intervals, too :-) So all I can say is, thank you so much for starting FitnessBlender and giving an opportunity for people like me, who are either unwilling or unable to go to the gym or exercise outside, to become fitter and stronger individuals.
