My money says that Loretta’s scrapbook doesn’t even belong to Loretta. It’s Ben’s. Look at what the man did to the Sting/Amy Schumer apartment, filling it top to bottom with photos of himself. He’s a notorious narcissist, and it would only make sense that he would make a book completely dedicated to himself. Loretta stole the book due to the photos of her biological son, Dickie.

- A 'gooseberry' is slang for a third wheel, more 'triplet' evidence. - All the phantom of the opera references made me believe someone else is hiding in the theatre, but in Phantom he might attack in the rafters sometimes, but he resides in the BASEMENT and not the attic. None of them have searched the basement yet. - The fake out death of the fish (he's dead, wait he's okay!) also reinforces someone miraculously coming back from the dead like 'Ben' supposedly did. - I agree with your drugs theory and one brother not having them found in his system because he wasn't the one taking them. - There's no evidence that another person locked Charles in the closet, the door might've just locked behind him, but that would make no sense because who wants to go into a closet to use the toilet and get locked in? So, who locked Charles in the closet? The man in the red coat? The man we believe could be Ben's twin brother? - A lot of people live through others or are stand-ins in this series, which makes me think maybe one Ben was standing in for the other when he was under too much pressure to perform or had taken too many drugs to do his job. Even Oliver's tooth is a 'temporary fixture'. - I believe the 'sacrifice' message of the crucible is confirmation that Loretta will sacrifice herself to protect Dickie, the real murderer. - Know who else you shouldn't feed after midnight? Gremlins. Why? They MULTIPLY, like there are triplets. - Charles said he was almost killed by 'poisoned fog'. Is the fog machine important? There's nothing to say the fog was poisoned, but it was in use on stage the night that 'Ben' died. - I wonder if Oliver will realise that he's made the wrong decision by choosing the play and Loretta instead of Mabel and Charles, and he'll hand over directing to K. T. so she gets to live out her dream in the end. - While another series hasn't been confirmed, I wonder if the Mabel we saw in a wedding dress is the cliffhanger at the end of this series. Is something going to happen at her future wedding to Tobert that'll lead into Season 4?

Why would KT say to Ben "I know it was coming from a place of LOVE" on opening night party ? It makes me think she had a crush on Ben. KT has this surface image of being strict, cold, bossy, casually cruel at times. But she was also the only one publicly crying and emotionally involved. She was wiping tears with the hanky Ben gifted her. That would explain why KT said to Howard "I didn't realize assistants got one too". Was she being a meanie or was she genuinely disappointed? She probably thought she was special to Ben but got proved wrong. Is this the case of unrequited love? When Ben said "no, it wasn't (coming from a place of love)" could that have triggered her?

I've been waiting for you to post your video so I can share my theory this week. From day one I've had a main suspect and with this episode im convinced I know who killed Ben Glenroy...it was Dickie!. Here's my reason, throughout every episode there has been a reference to a Shakespeare play and this episode the play was Richard II. In the synopsis of the play it says Richard is responsible for his brother's murder. Dick/Dickie is a nickname for Richard. Now question is was he the ONLY murderer, perhaps not but he is definitely at the top of the list. Could he and Loretta have done it together or could he have done it to protect her? Skipping ahead I've been thinking about next season 🤞, in the trailer they show Mabel in a wedding dress. What if that's a prelude to next season. She's marrying Tobert and he ends up being the next victim???

Maybe there are actually 2 plots these season: 1. Ben, Dickie, Loretta trio and their family roots 2. Charles and the attempt to kill HIM that is kind of an elusive line that goes through the show, especially the last episode when he was very close to being injured or killed I think this season is a little bit like season one: we never really see the characters with their loved ones or family, and even if we do (Charles and Joy, Maybel and Tobert, Loretta and Oliver, Producer and his mom) it is kind of strange, a lot of chatacters are dealing with loneliness as well as in season 1, but I feel the person who has it on a deeper level is Charles and , so I am curious about whether there will be a major twist in the narrative

Thank you for making these videos! This episode was a real downer for me, but you brought new life into it for me. 1. I've been thinking about that lit and loving look that Loretta gives at the end of her song, "Look for the Light". We are made to believe it was for Oliver. But Dickie is in the shot as well. Loretta would not break character at such a poignant moment. I'm thinking that look was for Dickie! Even the "shhhh" to the triplets somehow feels important. 2. Zoe wasn't killed on purpose. She was thrown of the tower largely because of her own energy. I wonder, was Ben killed on purpose? Someone could have pranked him with cookies, and then argued with him later. Just a thought, I'm sure there are lots of holes here. 3. I love the Easter eggs that you find in the intro, but besides the obvious sand bag that even I saw on the first try. And I never catch the Easter eggs until I see your post. _ There was a flickering Ghost screen/light in one of the apartments coming down. :)

I think everyone in the Death Rattle production had a part to play in Ben's death. They each did something, which on its own wouldn't kill Ben, but when combined in the coincidental sequence that they all happened, it ultimately ended up killing Ben. A bit like a Final Destination film. There are a lot of really great theories in the comments, everyone is so clever and creative, it really makes these videos a fantastic watch.

I think someone is framing Loretta for the murder because why would she write F Pig on Ben's mirror, when she'd said it to his face? Someone else was present when she fought with Ben, besides Charles. They know her handwriting. This mysterious person hates Ben and Loretta. She says she's cursed, maybe, this person has been stalking her for years, and ruining her chances at an acting career. Could it be Dickie? He's Loretta's agent now, was the role he got for her, real? Dickie knew Loretta would accept the new role in a tv show, Oliver would refuse to release her and this would ruin their friendship and as a consequence, lose the part in Death Rattle. But Oliver has fallen in love with Loretta and released her but Loretta chose to stay, not what Dickie thought would happen. What will Dickie try next? 😮 Dickie hates Loretta because she gave him up as a baby so she could follow her dream, and he hates Ben, who's a bully, the son of the people who adopted him. Another thing, Dickie knew Mabel and Tobert were in the armoire and his outburst was all an act. 😊

Loretta could be both Ben and Dickie's mom but perhaps Ben and Dickie has different fathers which is why Ben has so much anger at Loretta. Dickie might have been born out of an affair. Ben said he supported his mother and Dicke with his acting career since he was a kid. Loretta has no other means of support that we know of other than, in this video, the reveal that she was a gift wrapper for Macys. She may have sacrificed her career to take care of her sons and Ben never forgave her for her indiscretion and driving away his father. Under those circumstances she could never ask Ben for help with her career and he would do whatever he could to punish her by killing any chances she had in the business.

Thoughts & Predictions - With Mabel getting married at the end of season (potentially a year from current timeline), presumably to Tobert, wouldn’t that mean he is not one of the killers? - In the synopsis for ep 7, Charles get a major clue from an unexpected source. Could this be Leonora Folger (Shirley MacClaine)? - With 2 sandbags falling, and one still hanging, could this be foreshadowing that there will be a 3rd murder attempt before the season is over? - In the trailer we see Det. Williams enter the theatre presumably to arrest someone, & I am guessing that she will take Loretta into custody. This would motivate Oliver to reunite with Charles & Mabel to solve the murder & clear Loretta’s name. - My current theory is that Donna was the one who sabotaged the play after getting word of Maxine’s bad review. If she thinks the new play Death Rattle Dazzle could also fail, could she be the one feeding information to the police in order to shut down production once again?

May be a red herring, but there is a whole scene with Howard waving a hanky around, and it is not the Death Rattle hanky. Once it was discovered that Kimber didn't have her hanky anymore, the whole issue was dropped. Did Charles actually collect every one's hanky? Still going with my original pick: Tobert. Maybe the motive is the success of his documentary, and he framed KT with the poisoning and framed Dickie with the pushing. The meta clue is the way the camera was moving and obviously hand-held with Ben's dressing room scenes, indirectly reminding us that documentarian Tobert was there in the room. In the reading table scene he told Ben it would "literally be the last time he heard his voice" I think he was talking directly to Ben. In the armoire he said the "biggest fan would do ANYTHING" (He's the fan, of the podcast). At the restaurant he said he "didn't just want to stand by to watch the baby elephant die". I think he wanted to be *involved* in the drama (murder) of his documentary. He wrote something on the murder board, I think the handwriting will be a clue. I think the GoPro given to Mabel is tampered with--maybe with a mic, or maybe something harmful. I think the trio will discover it was Tobert from the interview recordings the olds collected.

Don't forget that Charles used to see an imaginary pig in the first series. I think he's written the note f-ing pig as he's experienced a white room episode. He also hit Ben on that night. I think it will turn out he killed him and not remembered. They haven't done much podcasting this season, I think they're losing their pull to each other and this season they break apart their trio but at the end when each individually realise Charles killed Ben, they get back together and cover it up as a pact and act of friendship and loyalty to the trio.

I saw another theory that also is pointing to the close-up of the shredder while Howard is in the room and Howard makes "a face" to sort of suggest that the strange noise he heard coming from KTs office is the shredder. But what would a killer be shredding? An envelope that contained the poison? Or the killers plan so they would stay focused? That means there could be a clue in the catch basin of the shredder, but I would think a killer would know to take whatever they shredded with them and burn it or something.

I still see "Chicago" references. Dr. C represents "Mr. Cellophane." In "Chicago," Amos sings about not being seen and he also wears those fingerless gloves that Dr. C wears. Other things I've noticed, I've seen the Shakespeare's Richard II poster in two different places -- in the hallway outside of one of the dressing rooms and also in KT's office.

​@DoublePMedia I have noticed another reference to "Chicago" -- when Oliver has his heart attack, he says that Bob Fosse had 5 (Bob Fosse was the choreographer for "Chicago.") Another Shakespeare reference is when Oliver, Charles and Mabel are in the elevator and they make a reference to men doing women's roles in Shakespearean times. Maybe there is someone who appears to be a woman but is really a man? Remember one of the babies in the cradles appeared to be a girl doll. Also, Shakespeare has several plays within a play, just like this season. Plus another clue about Dickie could be the letter "D" that I've seen show up -- They are in Rehearsal Room D, there is a D on the side of Cinda Canning's face "mask," and I saw a D in the background when Oliver is in with Dr. C.

I have a theory for the season 3 cliffhanger In season 1 bunny is walking her chicken outside the arconia and she was murdered at the end of season 1. She remained in the credits the same way in season 2 as it was about her death. In season 3 she has been replaced by Howard and his cat. Could this be because he will be murdered at the end of season 3 and season 4 will be about who killed him just like what they done with bunny?

The interesting thing about rat poison is it typically doesn’t work on humans from what I’ve heard, rats can’t vomit which is why it’s effective on them as they can’t purge the poison from their bodies. Theory, Dickie knew this and poisoned Ben with rat poison to protect his reputation because he knew Death Rattle was gonna suck and would ruin Ben’s chances of further theatre acting. Ben wouldn’t die from it but it’d be enough to ruin Death Rattle and get the show ended, meaning Ben gets another chance at stage acting, could also explain why the concoction Ben was taking wasn’t found in his body, he purged it from his system by throwing it all up. Then to top it all off maybe Dickie started helping Loretta because he realised ending Death Rattle would destroy this poor woman’s chance at finally getting to be an actress and felt guilty, hence why he started helping her get meatier roles

I rewatched the 6 episodes and I'm coming up with more to add to the theory linking Dickie to being the killer. I'm steering away from the twin/triplet theory now. I think Dickie gives Ben tattoo transfers or he does them by hand, that explains the differences. Ben is all about image and Dickie is in his confidence. About the drugs not being in Ben's system, Dickie has been giving him placebos in place of his meds, without Ben knowing. This is why Ben is all over the place with his moods. Something knocked Ben out on stage, as others suggest, maybe, the smoke machine has a knockout gas? It nearly knocked Charles out too. Dickie was OTT with his 'they pronounced him...they pronounced him ...' but never actually said, 'dead' because the medics were there, and when Ben returned he said he died for an hour, which wasn't true, he most likely did bite his tongue though. Dickie calls him out for the exaggeration/lie but was ignored, he was staying true to his meek persona. The call Ben received at the afterparty was Dickie, imo, we see him in the background just as Ben plans to leave. (Dickie got Loretta's ponytail stuck in the subway doors on her way to an audition for Oliver's earlier production, but she didn't realise, the bottled water laced with valium so she passed out in the waiting room at Oliver's Annie Oakley show, Dickie was responsible too.) Loretta believes she doesn't deserve success! Loretta's career never took off when she was younger and Dickie has been making sure for the last 20+ years, that it never would! I agree Bubba when you said why doesn't Tobert look at the footage he's taken of Ben. I think he will, and he'll find something suspicious, but won't get to reveal it because Dickie will either kill him or Tobert survives, but is in a coma. I previously suspected Tobert but he's too obvious now, he's holding a few cards close to his chest even before reviewing the tapes. I could be way off but it's fun fitting what's happening to a theory, 😂.

In all seasons we had somehow two plots. In Season 1 we had the death of Tim Kono and Zoe. In Season two we had the mystery of the picture and Bunnys death. And when you think back, the clues that leads to the actual murder were less. Especially in the middle of each season the team always solved all other mysteries first and then come back to the actual murder. I think here it is the same. A lot of clues seem to direct to Loretta, the Twin-Theory (if you follow that) and the family-thing. But I am not sure which of these clues leads to the actual murder. The important question is: who could push Ben into the empty elevator? So lets go back to one of the very first clues: the missing handkerchief. Charles said that everyone except Kimber gave him their handkerchief. But what if Ben give one to more people? I remember a scene where K.T. said to Howard, she is surprised even he got a handkerchief. So who could have gotten a handkerchief who was not in the reherseal when Charles asked them to give them to him. Maybe his brother? Or Tobert? Both where somehow also a part of the crew, so Ben could have given them also one. Both seem to have a good chance to get in the Apartment either. What‘s strange to me is that Tobert still has no motive. Even characters who definitly did not done it seem to have like at least a tiny motive. But Tobert is really into that case without having a real motivation. I don‘t say I think he is the killer, but it seems to me that there is something we still don‘t know. So, when you go with the twin theory Dicky is the only one of these two who would also have a motive. Jealousy. What I wonder…if Tobert wanted to make a docu about Ben, could he maybe find out about the family situation or even a twin? If yes, would that give him a motive?

I think Ben staged his first death for publicity's sake or to get Loretta off the show. I think he wrote the message on the mirror himself, to incriminate Loretta. I think Dickie killed Ben, maybe to protect Loretta. (She seems to bring out that cavalier spirit in men, except for Ben.) Ok, this may sound crazy... I think the hanky in Ben's hand meant something. It has been called a hanky but it could also be used as a dickey. Ben had that held dickey tightly in his hand while he is flailing in the air,. When a person is flailing in the air they are seeking to catch themselves somehow, not hold on tight to something, so they will have it when they finally hit the ground. I think it was Ben's attempt at hoping people that saw the murder scene would know Dickie killed him by him holding what could be known as a dickey. I know it is a long shot, but whether it was intentional or not, I still think Dickie murdered Ben. I used to think that Tobert was the person who tried to kill Ben the first time around, and Dickie the second time succeeded. Tobert is looking for fame and probably money, and he is hiding a secret(s). It could be him as well for the first attempt. That's all she wrote...

Rewatching the season, I can't help but think from the opening narration (by Oliver, no less), that maybe the obsessive parent/child relationship feels like Oliver and his Broadway dream. This doesn't bring me to any thoughts about whodunnit with the murder, but I think it's important for the long game of the whole show. Maybe he'll eventually realize all of this and give up his dream for the sake of his actual son?

My theory is Loretta Durkin is not her real name, Loretta Durkin is a place. Her real name is "Betsy". The negative toxicology results when there should have been trace amounts of meth has made me re-think the twin theory. My main problem with the twin theory has been how would they hide the secret from the doctors & nurses at the hospital? However, now that we know Ben uses Dr C, that actually make sense that the 2 Ben's would need a concierge doctor to keep the fact they are twins a secret. So now, my theory is that Ben#1 gets poisoned, and may have actually died briefly, resulting in Dickie saying "they pronounced him" to Dr C (and it makes sense that, that is the person Dickie would call), but somehow Dr C was able to later revive him. Ben#2 steps in to fill the role at the party, and the phone call he receives is actually from Dr C with an update on Ben#1. The killer or killers, seeing that Ben was still alive, pushes Ben#2 down the elevator shaft.

wild theory: Loretta is a "snake". Ben has a marbe snake egg in his apartment. Loretta is Ben's baby mama. Cliff is Loretta's son. She gave him up for adoption. Ben as a young man had a thing for older women lol. Ben calls Loretta a snake because she kept a secret they had a baby together. I think the killers are Tobert and Donna. In Selena Gomez's deleted BTS video we see her with Donna and Tobert in what they wear in the season finale. We haven't got any killer POVs from either Tobert or Donna. I also Cinda is involved with Tobert and her husband is Dr C--remember she had a ton of pills that went flying when she couldn’t open them? Cinda is Loretta’s daughter & dickie and Ben;s sister becaus I think it would make sense of the female blonde doll as the triplet Dickie breaks a jade egg and Cinda has one "nestled in her privates", and Cinda also squats over a mirror which is like mimicking child birth.

I’ve been so off on all my theories for the past two seasons that I’ve been a bit shy about trying to theorize at all this season. Now that we’re 60% through the season (which, wait - what?! How is this possible!?) I’m going to give it a go. The fog was the first source of poison for Ben on opening night. Since Loretta was scheduled to come on stage right after Ben, I don’t think it was her or anyone who would have a protective instinct for her (Oliver, for example). I’m not sure where this leads us for a perfect suspect #1, but I think this points to Dickie. Speaking of Dickie, I believe he is the one Loretta was saving the clippings of. All of the Ben articles had Dickie in the background, and I think this is who she was really interested in. Maybe it is her nephew and not her long-lost son, and that explains the “Aunt Loretta” drawing on the fridge last episode. She grew up in NYC (the tooth ferry story confirms this) so it’s odd to think she left for St. Louis and came back as if she had been following her dream this whole time, it would have kept her in NYC. Dickie may be adopted and that’s why Ben isn’t also her nephew. While signs point to KT right now (the locked room, the shredder, the poison machine, access, etc.), I think it’s a red herring. Same with Loretta. I hope to discover that Loretta and Dickie’s new partnership as agent/talent is a result of her talent (or possibly a familial tie revealed in the wake of all the chaos!) and not manipulation to get his representation, so I don’t think either of them are guilty. My theory is that it’s someone from his CoBro cast. Ben was falling off the CoBro diet (cookies in the dressing room) and taking time to do the show put production of the show off for a while. Since those actors couldn’t work while he pursued Broadway shows, someone came to try and get him back on track and they just wanted to scare him with the fog poison. When they “pronounced him” on the scene, it scared them and they tried to break into Ben’s penthouse to hide evidence or to plant some that would implicate someone else. When leaving his apartment, they saw him come in unexpectedly and panicked; pushing him into the open elevator doors. This person was also the one who bought the handkerchief from Kimber.

These are the clues I've found so far. In S3 E1 when Mable is talking to Ben's ghost he says when he was 31 and on Girl Cop he was terrified because they hadn't invented Propecia yet. That is for people who are going bald. I think Babette is Ben's mother and she adopted Loretta's biological son Dickie because they were friends. Ben thought Loretta was obsessed with him but actually she was just keeping up with her son. I think Loretta poisoned some cookies and left them in Ben's dressing room and that's who he was talking to in the video (the cookies). Then I think Loretta snuck back in his dressing room when he got on stage and got the cookies and wrote effing pig on the mirror. Tobert was hired by Cinda Canning after Mabel turned her down on a partnership. She sent him undercover to collect info for her podcast on Ben's murder. After their date he said I didn't think I would make it all the way to the murder board. Charles told Ben onstage that he knew what he did. I still have no idea what that was about. Cinda has a jade egg in her VaJJ and Dickie comes in and throws Ben's jade egg across that room and screams why. (Don't ask me, I haven't figured that one out yet) Mable is in a wedding dress and her olds are in suits so I think Tobert and Mable were getting married when she discovers that Cinda sent him there to get information. Mable, Oliver and Charles end up busting into a court room and it looks like they know who killed Ben. I don't think Loretta killed him. I cannot figure out who the killer is. I haven't figured out who was in the locked office that night. And so we continue..

Bunch of random thoughts, and thanks for another great video. Ok - I LOVED the Architectural Digest walk through and also wondered about that envelope that you indicated. Also, the trio does have another handwriting sample: Torbert wrote on the murder board. Just a small sample, but it's still there. I think in the shot of Oliver after wiping off the mirror, there is an interesting framing where you can see some poster double-reflected in the small oval mirror in the bottom left corner (double-reflected so the letters are seen the right way) - I can't quite figure out what it says but something college? Also there are a couple of references to Shakespeare: the Richard II poster is predominant (which I haven't seen but online synopses say it's about family and embezzlement, and killing rivals, and, if the poster is actually poorly framed and it's actually Richard III, one summary says "spooky ghosts appear", which seems on point) and KT's t-shirt appears to be a quote from Midsummer Night's Dream ("Though she be but little she is fierce" - google it for the full quote....), which refers to Hermia, part of a shifting "love quadrangle". The phrase "more dead than alive" is also heard twice - once in the detective's opening monologue and in the shredded script, and again with Jerry warning Oliver not to turn out like him. Finally, an overhead shot of KT's office clearly shows the rat poison in the upper right corner. So... what I'm getting here is possibly a relationship between KT and Dickie plotting to kill Ben. Maybe Ben found out that Dickie was stealing from him as his manager, and KT convinced Dickie that they needed to kill Ben to stop him from going to the police. So KT tried to poison Ben with the cookies in his dressing room, and when that didn't work, Dickie pushed him down the elevator shaft. That's this week's theory anyhow! Thoughts?

She will find out Dickie did it (off camera) and confess to the murder (on camera) to save him, which will break Oliver's heart. Also I think Torbert will find out or already knows (because he's documenting everything) and could be blackmailing Dickie, which makes Torbert the next victim, which will break Mabel's heart. He could be working closely with her to see if she figures it out and to try to protect her. I'd like to think he's sincere, but agree he's very sus and sketchy.

It seems by their faces that they figured out who the killer was because they all bust into a court house in wedding attire. Tobert being the murderer is too obvious. I hope they didn't do that. Tobert only asked Mabel out after Cinda didn't get Mable to join her.

I also wonder…image Ben 1 dies from the poison and Ben 2 comes back to the party. Image Loretta was the one poisoned him. I still go with my theory that she wouldn‘t just try to kill someone. Only if the live of a loved one really was on the line. But what if she did not want to kill him? Maybe she just wanted to embarass him. Maybe she thought he would puke or give a bad perfomance. Maybe she thought he would just eat one or two cookies, not all of them. Why do I think that? Ben called Loretta a snake. A snake works with what? Poison! In most cases xD So maybe he found out his brother was killed with poison and he knows - or thinks - it is Loretta. Thats why he is still so angry at her, even if he makes peace with everyone else. Or Dicki told him ‚Hey I think Loretta poisoned your brother!‘. So he calls her a snake as a sign, that he (thinks he) knows what she did.

My wild theory? If Loretta is Dicky's mom, she would have been in her early/mid twenties during that party she mentioned to Oliver. If the baby was born around then, he would be 45, which wouldn't be too far off. I'm just saying, both her and Oliver were very much on drugs that night....

I don't want to act like know too much about Studio 54, but I'm not sure it would've been open when Ben was born in 1973/74. Let me check wikipedia - Okay, the club version of Studio 54 opened in 1977 - but it did have the name before then... hmmm.

@DoublePMedia Yeah, I don't know the exact ages of the characters but the party took place in 78. If Ben was 31 when Mabel was in middle school, he would have probably been born between 1975-1977. I assume Dicky is younger because Ben said that he supported his mom and brother so Dicky could be 45 but I don't know for sure.

I think they mean Dissociative Identity Disorder. I really doubt it. It's a cheap device to use in a mystery, especially without more evidence
